- she makes hay while the sun shines-

"The legend of the Kingdom of Bravura would never be mistaken. Having past on from generation to generation, told not excluding a single detail. The legend says that every ten thousand years, a special child is born into the Royal Family, but this is no ordinary child. This child has powers no normal person can understand or comprehend. This power is used to fight in the Eternal Battle. This is the battle against the human world and the End World. "Granny said " What is the End World Gran? " Ten year old Lucia asked. "The End World is another universe, entirely different from ours, jam-packed with evil-doers and monsters with demonic powers." Granny said. "The End World sounds very scary" Seven year old Gerald said wrapping his blanket tightly around himself. "It is. Anyways were was I- ahh yes, whoever came out victorious in the Eternal Battle wins the Eternal Jewel. Whoever posseses the Eternal Jewel has great power. But as the legend says, only the End Word knows how to harness it's power. " Granny said and coughed. Eleven year old Sean got up from his bed and brought granny a cup of water and dived back underneath his blanket. "But that is not fair. Why is it only the End World that knows the power of the Eternal Jewel? " Lucia asked. "I don't know Luci. " Granny replied as she set the empty cup on the side table. "Is the legend all real, Gran? " Gerald asked. "Yes of course it is. I even witnessed the Eternal Battle myself when I was younger. " Granny said. "Really, then can you tell us what happened? " Sean asked. "Oh that's a story for another day. It's late already and it is past your bedtime." "Please just tell us, tell us." Lucia pleaded and Gerald stared chanting: "tell us, tell us, tell us!" And the two other children joined in. "Alright, alright, I'll tell you. But don't make a lot of noise so your Mama won't realize you're still awake and force you all to sleep." Granny said. "Hurray!" Gerald exclaimed joyfully
"Shhhh! Remember, no noise." Sean shushed his little brother. "Ok I won't make a sound." Sean pleaded. "Neither will I." Lucia said. "I was a tailor in those days. Not any tailor. I made garments for the Royal family so I was the Royal Tailor. It was during the rule of King Bermuda and Queen Cassandra. Everyone has seemed to have forgotten about the legend and regarded it as a myth. The queen was barren and unable to conceive a child. She became very sad because she was unable to have an heir to the throne and became very ill. The king was however very perverted and promiscuous and had an affair with one of the servant in the palace. The servant's name was Dahlia. Dahlia became pregnant and bore the king twin girls. On the same day of the birth of the twin girls, the queen died because of her sickness. To cover his shame, the king told the people the queen was actually pregnant and gave birth to a girl, he however sent Dahlia out of the palace with one of the twin girls-" Granny said but Gerald cut in. "How does this have to do with the Eternal Battle?" He asked. "Shush Gerald. Gran is getting there, aren't you Gran?". Lucia asked. " Yes I am, you have to learn to be patient, Gerald. For this is only the beginning of the story. "
