The Slave

Running... The only thing that I can remember now, well I can remember my heart beating so fast that I could feel it in my throat but these two things are all I remember now the best as I lay on the ice cold grass in the middle of nowhere. My legs and hands are numb, I can't move them nor do I want to.

My eyes are moving around trying to find an object to focus on, I open my mouth trying to breath in the cold air and tears fill my eyes rapidly but none of them slide down my face, why can't i feel the warmth of my tears? Panic rises in my chest, what is happening to me? I want to scream out. I focus on a tall tree with rich green leafs, I think I smiled at the birds that were stopping for few seconds on the branches before flying on to another tree... Looking for a home, just like me but I could be wrong, my face is frozen in place just like rest of my body.

I close my eyes, just for few seconds, I need to get my energy back, I need to get up and get out of here. "Allison." Someone breathes out on my neck quietly, the breath is warm it almost leaves sweat on my neck, the voice is so quiet that I can barely hear it. I couldn't recognise the voice, I turned my head to see the stranger but no one was there. It's only my imagination, it's what I tell myself almost laughing.

I must be dying, my head is pounding, I can't even feel my heartbeat anymore. Trying to pick my hand up and touch my face but my muscles decide against it, my hands doesn't move a inch.

"Allison?" The voice is a bit louder and I turn my head to the right to see the person, I see a figure. A tall person that I don't recognise.

Is this the end? Am I finally going to find the peace that I desperately want, I try to take a deep breath in but something is stuck in my throat, something foreign.

"I found you." Is all I hear before completely blacking out from the world.

Black, everything is black, I finally found my peace. The peace that I was waiting for what feels like forever.
