Chapter 5

Jacey's POV

I was awoken by my vibrating phone under my pillow. As I tried to sit up, I noticed something pulling me back down. Jade's arm was still tightly wrapped around my waist. She was peacefully sleeping as I carefully removed her arm and grabbed my phone. I had an unread message from Nate. A smile crept onto my face. From all my friends, he was the one I missed the most. I caught myself blushing at the thought of him.

Nate: Hey :) Wanna meet up? I'm in London so why not? You know the restaurant 'The Honey Fence'? I'll be there at 10. Text me!! x Nate

I quietly squealed and jumped up and down. Oh my god! I had to get ready since it was 9:27 AM already. But what about Jade? She would never let me go. She said it herself that she doesn't want me to be in contact with my friends. Well....she doesn't have to know, right? When I turned around she was still dead asleep. I tiptoed into my bathroom to get ready as quickly as possible. Then I changed into a dark blue skater skirt and tucked in a white shirt.

I quietly snuck out of my room and down the stairs. Unfortunately, I heard Perrie singing in the kitchen. God, please don't let her see me! I rushed through the living room towards the foyer area without an incident but suddenly I heard footsteps coming my way. As I turned around I saw Perrie, luckily looking down on her phone, heading in my direction. I held my breath and jumped into the coat closet and hid behing the coats and jackets. I felt like I was on a mission. As I looked through the keyhole I saw that Perrie had entered the bathroom and locked the door behind her. My chance! Perrie would probably take her time in there so it was the perfect opportunity for me to escape.

I tiptoed out of the closet and out of the apartment. When the front door was finally closed I released a breath I didn't even know I was holding in. Not gonna lie, I felt slightly bad for running away but I was about to see Nate again so I couldn't care less at the moment. I've had a crush for him for a while and I won't just give up on him. He and I were about to become a couple when I had to move to Jade...

I pulled out my phone in order to get the directions to 'The Honey Fence'. Nate and I have been there before when we took a day trip to London and it was absolutely lovely. Turns out it wasn't even five minutes away from here. I then left the building and made my way to the reastaurant. I arrived after a couple of minutes and took a deep breath before entering. I was about to see my friend (with benefits? kind of) again, so of course I would excited. When I was inside my eyes immediately landed on him. He sat in a booth in the back, scanning the whole place with his eyes until they met mine. A huge grin appeared on both of our faces as I nearly run towards him. He stood up and embraced me in a tight hug, "God, I missed you so much!" he mumbled into my neck and pulled away.

"I missed you, too," I bit my lip awkwardly. Should I kiss him? Or did he change his opinion about me within the last couple of days? I decided against it. After a moment of just smiling and staring at each other he suggested, "Shall we sit down?"

After we were seated I asked, "So how is life without me?" - "Boring and pretty pointless. Every conversation I have with Ellie and Dan ends up being about how much we miss you. What about you?"

I sighed, "It's alright, I guess. Jade isn't that bad...but she's kind of annoying to be completely honest. She doesn't want me to talk to you guys that's why she deleted your numbers. But other than that, she's a decent person. So are her friends. Can I ask you a question?"

He smiled, "Sure, you can!"

"Why are you in London? Did you come all the way here just to talk to me?"

His smile gorgeous smile got even bigger, "I'm here for two reasons" he took my hands which were lying on the table, "I'm here because I wanted to see you and the second reason is...You remember my aunt, Millie?" I nodded so he continued,"Well, she lives in London and I talked to my parents. They agreed that since you've been away, I haven't been as happy as I should be. So they asked my aunt if I could live with her until I'm done with school and she loved the idea!"
