Chapter 3: Starting to Crumble

It wasn't until 10 o'clock when Blitzø could hear the others show up for duty. First, he heard Loona show up and go to her seat at the desk, just be the sound of her sigh and the seat moving. He thought that she would have at least come in to check on him but that didn't happen.

"Maybe she doesn't care..." Blitzø thought as more negative emotions infect his mind.

The last couple of hours, Blitzø has been looking through emails, filling out the calendar and paperwork on the upcoming jobs for the next week. He gets up from his chair only to hear Millie and Moxxie talking near his office door, and his name being mentioned when approaching his closed office door. Instead of exiting his office Blitzø stays behind the door to listen.

"Moxxie, have you seen Blitzø yet? Didn't he say we had to start on time yesterday?" Millie says to her husband looking around.

"Millie, you know he's never on time and we always have to wait to start. He's most likely still sleeping."

Loona lifts her eyes from her phone to look at the couple at the right moment for the office door to open and Blitzø emerges. "Idiot..." she mumbles before going back to her phone.

Blitzø opened his office door with papers in hand and sees a shocked look on Moxxie's face, "I've been here for a long time Mox..."

Millie and Moxxie was surprised to see their boss already there and by the look at his face it was obvious to the couple that he must have barely slept.

"Oh good morning, sir... I um didn't expect you here just yet." Moxxie says nervously and unaware if Blitzø overhead him a moment ago.

"I told you to be on time and you expected that I wouldn't follow what I told you to do..." Blitzø says attempting to act as his normal self.

Millie cuts in before it could escalate any farther and take the heat off Moxxie, "So B what's our first job for today?"

Blitzø looks to the papers in his hand, "It appears to be a family feud that the client was executed and wants revenge taken out, so it should be an easy target."

Millie jumped for joy as she quickly runs off to the weapons room to get the guns before Moxxie could grab a hold of her to go with her.

Moxxie could feel this uncomfortable feeling coming from being near Blitzø like he was ready to yell at him for something but to his surprised all he got was a look before Blitzø walked over to Loona.

"Good morning Loonie, how was your night? I didn't see you when you got back." Blitzo says putting on a fake smile.

Loona rolls her eyes, "It was fine Blitzø... you were sleeping anyways so it doesn't matter."

She put her hand out for Blitzø to give her the paperwork so she could make the portal when they are ready.

'She hates you Blitzø, just like everyone else... no one will ever like you.' The voice rings inside Blitzo's head.

Pain flashed across Blitzø's features for a second before they returned to the mask he had put on so no one could suspect anything. He hands Loona the paperwork and walks back to the center of the office, just waiting for Millie to return before the portal was opened.

"Maybe this job can give me some joy... that would be a nice feeling for once." Blitzø thought to himself not looking at anyone except where the portal will be forming.

Millie runs back in all bubbly with her giant axe and some guns, "Let's go have some fun."

Loona opens the portal and Blitzø was the first to go through the portal without a word and his pistol in hand. M&M look from the portal to Loona and all she does was shrug in the nonverbal communication about Blitzø.
