I drove to Avery's house, hoping nothing will go wrong . (Lmao I ghosted this story so bad)
Avery was standing there, with her phone .
"I'm here!" I yelled .
She jumped from the sudden loud noise.
"Hey! I almost dropped my phone!"
I giggled at her anger.
"Get in loser we're going shopping."
She then jumped in the convertible, and we drove off into the sunset.
"What are ya watching?" I asked her.
"It's this anime called The Promised Neverland! After this I'm watching Komi Can't Communicate! Maybe The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.? Oh! Or Danganronpa! Or One Piece. OH! Or My Happy Marriage!"
She rambled on about the animes she would want to watch. I could feel the brain cells fizzing out of my head, but in a good way.
"We're here!"
"I could also watch something like Mean Girls, or All Of Us Are Dead-wait we are?"
"Get out of the forkin car!"
"Forkin?"
"... Just get out the car."
We walked into the mall, looking around like children who can't find their mom.
"OH LOOK THE FOOD COURT"
Avery grabbed my hand and quickly pulled me to the food court.
"What do you wanna get?"
"You haven't decided yet?"
"..."
"..."
"How about some pizza?"
"Ok."
We walked to the pizza line and waited.
"I hate waiting. It's SOOO boring." I said.
Just then, a boy who looked around my age quickly got behind me and Avery in line.
"Hey hot stuff. I'm Mal. What's your name?" (Totally not a total drama name lol)
"My name is nunya"
"Nunya?"
"Nunya Beeswax. Now get someone who cares, or get a life."
He slowly walked away. He looked back as if I was going to change my answer.
I motioned for him to go away.
He walked out of the food court.
We walked up to the counter and ordered a pepperoni pizza and a Hawaiian pizza.
We sat down at a blue table and began eating our pizza.
Avery picked off the pineapple slices and ate them. When she was done with the pineapple, she ate the pizza while I ate some cinnamon rolls I snuck in the order.
When we finished eating, we threw away the box and walked out of the food court.
"Now that we ate,(literally) what should we do next?" I asked.
"Well how about we get something for Christmas?" Avery replied.
"... That's 3 months away."
"Never too early for Christmas!"
"Can I tell you something?" I asked.
"What is it?"
"Tomorrow is my birthday." I whispered in her ear.
Just then she ran towards the toy store and yelled out "Stay there!"
After 5 minutes, she came out of the store with a doll.
It was a brown doll with black hair and light brown eyes. The dress it was wearing was lavender with puffy sleeves.
"Think of it as an early birthday present." She huffed, visibly tired.
"Thanks" I smiled at the little doll.
——————Avery's pov —————————-
"Tommorow is my birthday." She said quietly.
I reacted quickly, a present already popping up in my mind. "Stay there!" I yelled.
I ran into the toy store, looking around.
An employee walked towards me and asked, "Is there anything I can assist you with?"
"Yes! I need a doll." I said nervously. I wasn't good with talking to strangers... in public, I mean.
"Follow me please." He replied, then walked away. I followed suit.
He lead me to a row of dolls, or an isle? I don't know, I'm blanking on the name. Doesn't matter, though.
"If you need anything else, just call." His voice interrupted my thoughts.
"I think I'm okay, for now at least."
He walked away, quiet as a mouse.
I looked around for one that looked even half as good as... her.
I settled on an ugly doll with pretty hair- wait that isn't right, is it? Whatever, it's fine.
I'll spare you the details and just say I bought the doll.
I ran out of the store, dodging people almost everywhere.
By the time I got back to Carla, I was exhausted, -physically not mentally-, and could only huff out: "Think of it as an early birthday present."
"Thanks." She replied, with an almost unnoticeable smile. I noticed it though it's hard to miss on someone so pretty.
God, she's beautiful.
———————————Time skip, and Carla's pov😼——————————-
I dropped her off at her house then waved goodbye.
I drove off to my house and looked at the new doll. When I got home, I opened the package and put the doll on my shelf.
Maybe Av isn't so bad. I hummed to myself at the thought.
I did my usual night routine, dinner, shower, brushing teeth, skin care, (A face this good can't be 100% natural.) then sleep.
But, for some odd reason, I couldn't sleep. Nothing was wrong with the mattress, or the sheets, pillows, and blankets.
Oh well, what do I look like, Albert Einstein? I'll just pretend to be asleep until I actually fall asleep.
