Chapter 01: A New Beginning

                           Suzaku Fujiki pov

Tensai academy, a perfect place to start over after what happened. I walked through the gates and towards the building. As I walked I noticed my new school mates looking at me while whispering. Hopefully none of them recognized me I didn't want to deal with the fall out if they did. It was a good thing I arrived early since I needed to find out where my class is.
Walking through the school I began looking for my classroom. After searching the first floor I went up to the second of the four floors, and was able to locate the classroom. Taking a seat near the back I waited for the bell to ring. Eventually more students started coming into the classroom, several of them gave me weird looks but none of them approached me. Eventually a middle aged man I assumed to be Mr. Makise walked in.
  " Class starting today we have a new student." He said while gesturing for me to come up to the front.
Getting out of my seat I walked up to the front of the class.
" Go ahead and introduce yourself." Mr. Makise said
" Hello, my name is Suzaku Fujiki and it's nice to meet you all." I said feeling the stares of everyone in class fixate upon me.
" Do you play Shadowverse?" Blurted out a kid with black and red hair.
The question was expected given the game's continuously increasing popularity but despite having prepared an answer I found myself unable to say no, like I'd planned.
" I'm familiar with the game." I said trying to salvage my lack of a true denial. Hopefully no one tried to challenge me.
" Well now that introductions are over it's time to start the lesson." Mr. Makise said while dismissing me back to my seat.
Class was a rather boring affair. I half zoned out as they went on occasionally pretending to take notes so the teacher wouldn't think I wasn't paying attention. Eventually the bell rang signifying that it was finally lunchtime. Getting out of my seat I noticed some people were already starting games of Shadowverse with their friends. The sight reminded me of of when I was younger, back when my classmates would line up to challenge me during lunch. Tearing my gaze away from my battling classmates I walked off towards the courtyard I spotted from the window of the classroom.
Arriving at the courtyard I noticed a big tree that was near the edge and far away from where all of the other students had congregated. Climbing up the tree I sat down on one of the branches and began eating while pretending to ignore the world. I could practically feel a glare directed at me but when I looked around I couldn't find where it was coming from. Deciding it was probably in my head I finished my lunch and hopped down from the tree and headed back to the classroom.
