You laid in bed with your mother after the events of the long day. Her arms were wrapped around your warm body. You felt at peace with her. Besides her brothers and parents that you had never met. She was the only family you really had.

After seeing your uncles again you yearned to meet the rest of your family. You loved her, of course. But sometimes you just felt lonely. There really wasn't anyone there in Helheim that you could have an actual conversation with. It seemed like a snooty sentence but you wanted more.

(Time skip)

You sat in the library reading one of your favorite novels when your mother walked into the room. "Get up, Y/n. We're going to Midgard for the next few months."

You leaped up from your seat, regrettably closing your book without marking the page. It had been eight months since you were last there. Loki had occasionally checked in in your dreams but other than that, you had no contact with them. "When are we leaving?"

"As soon as possible." She said, smiling at the grin that spread across your face.

You threw a bunch of clothes and other stuff into your pocket dimension that your mother had taught you to make and looked back up to her. "I'm ready."

She smiled and took your hand. "Alright." She teleported the two of you away and you found yourself on the top of the Avengers tower.

"Hela! Y/n!" Thor strode from the door that led to the stairwell and elevator. "Lovely to have you here." He nodded to your mother in greeting and ruffled your hair as you jumped up to hug him. "My, you've grown!" He exclaimed. "I don't- I don't know if I could hold you." He fake dropped you before lifting you back up and setting you down.

"Thank you for allowing us to stay with you, brother." Your mother said as he began to lead you inside and back into the elevator that still kinda scared you.

He took you down to the lounge room where a few of the others were. You had learned their names from last time. The blonde was Steve, the dark haired man was Bruce, and the dirty blonde was Clint. Bruce was the only one who wasn't there with them.

You found yourself halfway hiding behind your mothers leg as you walked into the room with Thor. "They're here." He announced, causing them to look his way.

Loki emerged from the hallway that led to the bedrooms as the others kind of waved at you and Hela. You could tell they were nervous about the two of you being there. You decided to try and lighten the mood by running to Loki with a grin and jumping up to hug him.

He chuckled. "We'll, hello there, dear." He said, wrapping his arms around you and walking back over to your mother. He set you down beside her and you took her hand again.

The tension was thick in the air. None of them trusted your mother. They were a little more welcoming to you, but you were only a child.

Loki cleared his throat. "Let's go." He said, leading you and your mother down the hallway and to the room you were sharing with her.

He left you with her and you hopped onto the bed. "Mine." You say with a giggle.

She looks over at you and moves to pick you up, poking you in the ribs. "Not unless you want to end up on the floor?" She said throwing you onto the bed, and laughing when you almost fell off.

You scurry under the covers and she lays back on the bed on top of you, but not with her full weight. "Wow, this bed sure is lumpy." She said, shifting so you couldn't move away. "Stark should really pay for the high-quality mattresses." You laugh and squirm out from under her, moving to lay across her body and holding one of her hands in yours.

You lay like that for a while until you eventually fall asleep as her hands stroke through your dark hair.

You awake to her shaking you gently by the shoulder. "Suppertime."

You groan and roll over, pushing her back down. "No." You mumble, trying to fall back asleep. You feel her pick you up and suddenly fly through the air until you land on the couch.

You break out laughing and follow her out of the room. You find Tony in the kitchen with four boxes. "Hey, I burnt the water so I got pizza instead."

"You got, what?" Your mother asked with a confused expression.

He put his hands on his cheeks dramatically. "You've never had pizza before?!" He poked his head out the doorway to the living room and yelled, "Point Break, what the hell is wrong with your family?!"

You went to the dining room where a large dining table sat to fit everyone. You sat down between your mother and Thor with a woman you hadn't met across from you.

You eyed the pizza as your mother served you a slice, then herself. You saw your uncle eating it and decided to try it, your mother following your actions.

"It's not the worst thing I've eaten." She stated.

You shrugged. "I like it."

You went on with your evening and you eventually learned everyone's names and made a few friends. You liked Wanda, the woman who sat across from you. She had powers kind of like Loki's. Bucky was nice, a few of the others were frightened by him, but not you. With your mother and Loki, not many people scared you.

The party moved to the living room after dinner. You laid across the couch in the lap of your uncles and mother, playing with an infinity cube Tony had given you. The adults were talking above you, except your mother. She stayed rather quiet.

You projected your thoughts to her. 'Why are we staying here? Not that I'm complaining.'

She sighed and you heard her voice but her mouth didn't move. 'Odin was planning an attack on Helheim.'

You looked up to her quickly and saw Loki watching you two out of the corner of his eye. 'Why would he do that?' You ask as tears form in your eyes.

'I don't know. Out of spite?' She laid her hand on your shoulder. 'We'll go home again. We'll just stay here for the time being. Try to make some friends while you're here.'

You sighed softly. You might never go home. You might be stuck here forever. At least you would be here. Hopefully.

'They wouldn't kick you out.' You heard Loki's voice in your head. 'Not if I have a say in it.'

You smiled softly and felt Thor's hand wipe away a tear that had spilled without looking down.

"Time for bed." Your mother said. Before you could complain she teleported the two of you into the bedroom.

You ducked under the covers, using your magic to change into pajamas. Your mother came and kissed your forehead. "Goodnight, my dear. I'll see you in the morning."

"Goodnight." You called after her as she left the room. Soon enough, you fell asleep
