Chapter 1 // meeting Clementine

JULIE'S POV

heading back to the van I stumble upon a little girl in purple top and baseball hat without hesitation I pull out my knife for all I know it could be a walker I slowly get closer, as I get closer the little girl turns around.

She looks at me she's clearly been in water, I put my knife away slowly. "how old are you kid?" I say at first she didn't reply so I asked her, her name she says "I'm Clementine". I look at her and say "well hello Clementine I'm Julie" I begin to ask her what happened, she begins to explain and I feel bad for her I mean she looks no younger then 13.
I notice the dog has come back "is he your dog? He's never been here before" she says no and that he led her here.

She asked if I had any food and I said no but I'm sure there's a can around here, she starts digging through the trash for a good can of food, eventually she finds a can of beans but nothing to open it with. I'm not gonna offer her my knife either! I don't know what she could do

As she opens the can I see her offer me some I deny it because im not hungry, she offers the dog some and it barks spooking her causing her to drop the can, the dog starts eating it "hey! don't eat it all" I could see the dog getting aggravated as I slowly stand up it grabs clementines arm refusing to let go, she repeated started punching the dog I go over and pick the dog up moving it away from Clementine, all of a sudden it latches on to my ankle I try so hard to shake it off and when it finally lets go it's falls behind the log causing it to get impelled by the tent, I look at Clementine as she winces in pain pulling her sleeve down. "You okay clem?" I say worried she nods.

I could see her staring at my ankle I say "I'll be okay let's just get out of here" she agrees and we start walking, I apply all my pressure to my other ankle. As we start getting deeper in the forest I find myself needing to rest. When we suddenly get surrounded by walkers, clem suggests we run and I say that I'll try, as we start running I get grabbed by a Walker, me and Clementine try our best to fight it off but we fall to the ground and the Walker landing on top of us I can see clem struggling to push it off I try my best to try too until..
