I live in the Capitol with my mother, father, and older brother. We are all servants to the district citizens because of our ancestors actions. Now by ruling of our previous leader, governor Gale, in the year 3042 the children of the Capitol will be reaped and sent to the renewed Hunger games, The deviation.
The Deviation was set to premiere in a week, and the reaping day was tomorrow. Despite my worry my family didn't seem to share it. My mother shuffled on to her work in the governesses house, while my father, brother, and I headed to the fields. "Don't sweat it Andronicus! Tiberius will be there with you okay? If anything he can volunteer for you." My dad tried to cheer me up but I couldn't quite grab the enthusiasm he held. "I know but...in the old days they didn't let the boys volunteer for the girls, with U.S. I doubt they would even let us volunteer for each other." He turned away from my view and shrugged. "If anything just use your mind, work your way through their ranks. Gain their confidence in you, but on the outside appear frail. You'll be fine if they see you for a brainwashed Capitol kid."
