San Francisco's two spiders

The beginning

It all started on the fateful day when Cherry Web got bitten by a radioactive spider.

"Hey c'mon Eliza we're gonna be late" hurriedly said Lily trying to usher me out the door

"yeah yeah, chill out we have like ten minutes'' I said rolling my eyes as I finished tying my shoes on the staircase and quickly went out to join my nervous friend "alright come on come on!" she closed the door and speed walked off, not waiting for me as I took my sweet time to the car "hello Eliza, are you ready?" asked Lily's mom as I climbed in and buckled my seat belt "yup!" I said even though she'd already started moving

"I swear Eliza if we're late i'm blamin' this all on you"

"oh c'mon you know we won't be" I said smiling at her and then pulling out my phone to check my notifications only to see a warning stating that there was a new spider that was being transported from the arctic to all labs in hopes of someone figuring out if it has any diseases and it was just lost in UCSF so everyone should be on the lookout for any weird looking spiders "oh yikes" said Lily who was looking over my shoulder

"It better not be around here or I swear" I said angrily as I hate spiders. Once we got to school Mrs. Parker dropped us off in the bus only area and we quickly got out begrudgingly walking to our first class, world history which is not fun at all the teacher is so monotone and boring and he's always rambling on and on and on and on which wouldn't be a problem if we weren't trying to do our work during school but we were and combine that with it being our first class it was definitely not good for our mental well being but we lasted. Quickly being the first ones out of the class happy that it was break time "oh my god, I can't stand him!" said Lily flopping down on the ground at our little spot "yeah, I wish he'd be quiet for like 10 minutes at least'' I said sitting down next to her as she started sifting through her bag for her lunch "any lunch today?" she questioned after grabbing her sandwich "nah, didn't have time" I said already scrolling on my phone with my headphones on but one ear open for her "tomorrow you better bring food or else" she said as everyone else started to appear "hey Eliza hi lily" said R.J as he sat his bag down and started eating followed by Vincent, Mia, Isaac and Caleb.

"Hey Eliza, is that a spider on your arm?" questioned Isaac looking over at me after annoying Vincent "har har very funny" I said rolling my eyes

"no seriously there's a spider on your arm" said R.J making me look to see in fact a spider was there so being me I screamed bloody murder and got up telling them to get it off but before they could I felt it bite me "IT BIT ME" I screeched

"It's okay, it's probably harmless," said Lily, grabbing it and putting it on the ground

"I think i'm gonna faint" I said before blacking out on the ground. I woke up to find myself in the nurse's office "oh good you're awake" she said smiling at me

"am I gonna die?" I asked slightly hopeful that I was

"No it was harmless but from the description Lily gave it sounds like a Spotted Orbweaver that got a little lost but we already informed your mom so you'll be going home" she said making me feel much better about the attack on my life.

After School

"ELIZA" Lily said, bursting my door open, making me jump

"Eliza...?" she questioned looking up at me as I looked down at her and then around me "what the fuck!?" I said a little louder than I wanted

"what the fuck" said Lily staring at me as I tried to figure out a way to get down

"HELP!" I glaring at her quickly, getting her into action as she jumped up and down trying to grab my waist to pull me down "I can't reach you!" she said after a few jumps

"I'm so screwed!!" I whisper yelled at her

"I know!!" she whispered back as we started thinking of a way to get me down, as we thought I suddenly fell down "owww" I said upon reflex thinking it would cause major pain to my already ruined back but there was none "dude" I said looking at Lily happily

"what?"

"My back pains are gone!" I said standing up and stretching my back to show her

"lucky bastard but also what the fuck was that about" she said quickly getting to the point

"I have no idea and I will be silently freaking out about this for the rest of my life and we will tell no one" I said

"alright fine with me but when we're alone later we have to talk about it"

"Okay" I said walking out with her to catch up at the nearby mall.

In the same part of San Francisco a day after Cherry Web was bitten

Another teenager fatefully met their Spider

"Thanks for the ride mom!" I said quickly grabbing my things and carefully getting out of the car and heading into school in no rush because I was twenty minutes early happy to go talk with my friends on my way there I saw a girl doing walking handstands in front of what seemed to be her friends but I quickly moved on from the scene once she was finished and went off to find my own. After a while of talking I headed off to my boring science class that was my first period while I was writing down notes for the lesson I felt a sharp pain on the back of my neck and quickly went to itch at it but felt some legs and then I heard a scream "A SPIDER" the boy behind me screamed making everyone panic and I quickly hit my neck and felt it let go of me so I whipped around and saw it laying their twitching luckily the teacher quickly came by and put it in a box calling the principle to have her call pest control incase there were more.

Later that day after school

I was going to take off my hoodie but found myself unable to take it off my wrists as I tugged at it more it didn't budge annoying me so I started pulling it harder when it finally came off there was this greenish liquid on my wrists which was weird and when I picked up my hoodie there were holes in it where my wrists were stuck "what the..." I said trying to figure out how these imperfect little holes came to be.
