Chapter 7: First Game

4 weeks, exactly, had past since tryouts and the boys basketball captain was made. Boruto Uzumaki as captain and Shikadai Nara as "vice captain" (basically Co-captain but was too lazy to want the name). The girls captain was going to be made during practice. Everyone knew it was going to be Asiara (a-sigh-ra) Tamaka. A 3rd year and extremally talented. Everyone knew it was going to be her, until she broke her collar bone a few days ago and is now said she can't play for the rest of the season. So who is is going to be now?

"Gather round ladies." Moegi had said while Konohamaru joined as well with a clipboard. "We have picked your team captain. She has made good calls during scrimmages and I believe she showed us what she could bring to the table day one." As Moegi asked for the clipboard, she cleared her throat. "Drum roll please..." All the girls started to stomp their feet. "Your Captain is..." She announced it and Sarada couldn't hear a thing. Wasabi shook her in excitement. "Sarada Uchiha." Everyone gather around her and hugged her. She was finally captain for once.

Sumire was always captain. Her uncle was the Coach, so that was inevitable. Yes, her uncle worked with Sarada more, but Sumire was captain because of family. For the first time... Sarada was recognized for her talent and hard work. Everyone quiet down and waited for Moegi to continue again. "Okay, so now that we know the Captain... we will have a meeting with the JV Captain for both girls and boys along with the CO-Captains of the Varsity boys team. I'll give more details later, Sarada." Sarada nodded in agreement. Moegi continued. "The boys Varsity team has a game right before our game, so I would like if you guys could watch some of their game as support and interest in move making." Everyone nodded. "Dismissed." Konohamaru said while he gestured for Sarada to come to Moegi and himself.

"We wanted to talk to you about the game." Konohamaru started as Moegi continued for him. "We are going against Lightning High's boys team. I believe it said in your transfer sheet, you went to school there." Sarada nodded, knowing exactly where this was going. "We were wondering..." Moegi said while taking a big breath, "Can you be apart of the welcoming for them?" Sarada blanked for a second. "Huh?" She answered in return.

Konohamaru chuckled as he placed his hand on Sarada's head. "Our boys will be warming up when they arrive, and we needed someone to bring them to the gym other than our own Co-Captains." Sarada nodded in agreement, although she was slightly against it. "Fantastic!" Konohamaru said while removing his hand off of her head. "Tomorrow at 5pm, front office... okay?" Sarada, again, nodded in agreement and then was dismissed for dinner.

I have to see my old classmates? WAIT! I get to see INOJIN!!!

5pm snuck up on Sarada as she made her way to the front office and met up with Boruto and Shikadai. "Oh, so you're back-up?" Boruto said with a grin. Sarada rolled her eyes as she saw two yellow buses arrive at the school gates. As the bus got closer, so did her nerves. It had been about 3 weeks sense she had seen Inojin, and she was extremely nervous.

The two buses parked in front of the school, and the doors slowly opened. She kept her none-emotion-look plastered to her face as people from her old class walked off the bus. She watched as teammate after teammate walked off the bus with a duffle bag or backpack. She looked and looked, but no Inojin.

"As I fucking live and breathe..." One of the teammates said while starting right at Sarada. She knew him, well kinda. She knew who he was for 4 years, but never actually talked to him. A bunch of the other guys looked at her and whistled as Boruto, Shikadai and herself to walked over to great them.

"Welcome to Konoha Prefecture High School..." Boruto said catching their attention. "I'm Boruto Uzumaki." He reached out his hand for a handshake at the one that was staring at Sarada in the beginning. He took Boruto's strong handshake and responded, "Code..." Shikadai reached out his hand after and said, "I'm Shikadai Nara." Code nodded and then looked at Sarada with a smirk. "Sucks, huh?" Code said as he reached out his hand, intending for Sarada to take it. "Such a pretty thing missed out on something big." He then looked at his other teammates who just kinda whistled at Sarada in her school uniform.
