''Ha! I beat you again!'' you laughed and nudged your rival, Lovino Vargas, who's seated next to you in English and Spanish classes. You've sat next to each other for almost half a year already. Somehow at some point you started to compete when having a test, and the wins tend go pretty much equally. You had a test in English last week, and your A- completely beat Lovino's B+.
''Whatever, I'll beat you in Spanish anyway'', he tried to sound cool but sounded really childish.
''We'll see about that'', you laughed and grinned.
''Okay class, today we'll start a pair project. Everyone has to make a presentation about a country, and just a short one won't be enough. Every pair has to be serious while making these, since the makers of the best presentation will get a prize! You can decide the form by yourself. You can make a poster, a slideshow or whatever you want. The deadline is next Monday. Now everyone, form pairs and select a country!''
When you heard the word competition, the both of you got really enthusiastic. This time you wouldn't compete against each other, though, because you didn't want to give the honor of winning to anyone else.
''We'll beat everyone for sure!'' you said and gave him a high five.
''As long as you don't mess everything up!'' he grinned.
You selected Italy since Lovino is from there. Planning on the project took most of the lesson, but you got a pretty good start. You were going to tell about Italy's (not so great) war history, it's landscape, the culture and other basic stuff. The form was the hardest one to decide. You didn't believe that a plain poster would win, and drawing on the blackboard didn't sound that flashy, either. Then you thought about a slideshow. You could even film some clips where Lovino speaks Italian and shows something customary to Italy like pizza making and stuff like that.
Before you even noticed, the class ended and you had to go.
''Should we film some clips during free time, too? The editing will take a lot of time so we should start soon'', you asked your Italian friend / rival as you left for the next class. You have Spanish, and you're seated together in there, too.
Spanish is the only subject where Lovino usually beats you. He has relatives in Spain, so he has spoken the language ever since he was little. Even though he loves winning, your pestering made him help you. He's even better at teaching than the actual teacher.
''Hey, Lovi, I dunno how this sentence should be, help me!'' you cried during class.
''Idiota, don't call me that!'' he said and covered his red face with his hand, ''it's not that hard actually, you just have to read it again and think if it sounds okay. That's what I do.''
''But you're a lot better than me!''
''I know that!'' he grinned widely.
''But can you help me with this?''
