One day, while Nico and Cristobal were going through Nico's father's journal, trying to decipher some of the clues, Malvina came into the room with a big smile on her face. "Hi guys! What are you up to?" she asked.
"We're trying to figure out some of the clues in my dad's journal," Nico replied without looking up.
"Oh, can I help?" Malvina asked eagerly.
Cristobal, who had been silent up until this point, piped up. "No thanks, we don't need your help. We can figure it out ourselves."
Malvina looked taken aback by Cristobal's response. She had been trying to win him over for weeks now, and it seemed like he was still not fond of her. She tried to hide her disappointment and put on a smile. "Well, if you change your mind, I'm always here to help," she said, before leaving the room.
As soon as Malvina was out of earshot, Mogli spoke up. "I don't trust that mean girl," he said.
Nico raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean, Mogli?"
"She's always pretending to be nice and sweet, but I can see right through her. She's bad news, Nico. Don't fall for her tricks," Mogli warned, standing on top of a table scrunched down.
Nico nodded, but he couldn't deny that he was attracted to Malvina. He didn't want to lead her on, but he also didn't want to hurt her feelings. He decided to keep his distance and focus on his search for the island.
Meanwhile, Cristobal was busy scribbling some notes in his own notebook. He had a theory about one of the clues in the journal, and he was eager to share it with his dad. "Dad, I think I figured something out!" he exclaimed.
Nico turned to his son, a proud smile on his face. "What did you figure out, buddy?"
Cristobal showed his dad the notebook, pointing to a specific page. "I think this clue is referring to the statue in the park near our house. It matches the description in the journal," he explained.
Nico's eyes widened in surprise. "You're right! I never would have thought of that. You're a genius, i love you my son!" he exclaimed, giving Cristobal a high-five.
As they packed up their things to head out to the park, Nico couldn't help but feel grateful for his son's intelligence and his trusty servant's unwavering loyalty. They were a team, and nothing could stop them from finding the island of the happy children.
