Frida sighed as she got of the plane. She breathed in the cold, Swedish air in her lungs. Of course, she live in Switzerland. But she had been living for quite a long time with her loved Henry in their house in Spain.
"It's so nice to be back in Sweden" she said to Henry. "I haven't been here for one year! But I though it was time to meet up with Agnetha and the others. And I have some meetings at the museum."
"I'm glad we could go here" Henry said and kissed her forehead. "You always seem to be so happy when we get here."
"Yes... I have a lot of memories that come back to life at once I stand on Swedish ground." She smiled, and she and Henry walked to the bus stop where a taxi would pick them up.Frida was wearing a big fake fur, hat, and sunglasses. She was so tired of people recognize her and come and talk to her. People who walked by stared at her, but not because they recognized her. It was because she looked quite unusual in her a bit weird look.
After a while the taxi came. They could have chosen a limo, but that wasn't so descreet...
"Good morning miss Lyngstad" the driver said. "How are you?"
"Fine, thank you."
"And you?" the driver asked Henry. "Wonderful, thanks."
"It was Grand Hotel, right?"
"Yeah" Frida said with a smile, and the taxi driver drove away. After checking in, Frida and Henry spent some time at the room. Frida didn't want to go out to much. "I hate this..." Frida sighed. "What, darling?"
"I just want to go out! But it's just scary how all the people become when they see me. It's annoying..."
Henry went up from his armchair and walked towards his girlfriend. He laid his hands on her shoulders and looked into her eyes. "I understand... It must be really hard. But, just remember. I will be here for you anytime. If it's hard, just tell me and I will be listen. If I know you right, it makes you feel better..."
"Then you know me perfect..." Frida said with a smile and gave him a kiss.
"Thank you love."They ordered room service, and soon a butler came with the food. While eating lunch, they talked about the day.
"Is that anything planned today?" Henry wondered. "No, not today... I though that I would visit Agnetha. I haven't seen her for so long, and it will be a surprise. I haven't told her that I would come." Frida smiled when she thought about her dear friend. "Nice. Is it okay if I don't come with you? I have some friends here and would like to meet them."
"Of course! By the way, Agnetha and I have a lot to talk about that no one other has anything to do with..." Henry smiled.
"Yeah, I can imagine that..."After lunch Frida took a taxi over the bridge to Ekerö. She loved Ekerö a lot. Even if it was a big island, it reminded her of her days on Viggsö and Lidingö. The taxi stopped a bit away from Agnetha's farm. Frida didn't want to give out her adress. She couldn't trust anyone nowadays after everything she have gone through. So she walked the rest. Soon she came to the big courtyard. There were three beautiful white houses with one in the middle and two right opposite each other. The yard was surrounded by a high gate. Frida looked against the field with their horses, and there was a big stable a bit away. She could recognize some of the horses.
She rang the door bell which sat on the gate, and soon she saw Agnetha coming out from the house in the middle. Which was her house. If Frida remembered right, Linda, Jens and their daughters Tilda, Esther and Signe lived in the house to the left.
Agnetha's two dogs came running and started to jump on the gate. Frida laughed and let them lick her hand. Agnetha opened the gate with the code. "Hi!" Agnetha exclaimed when Frida were in. They hugged ecach other tightly for a long while. Agnetha felt the tears in her eyes. She hadn't seen Frida for too long! "Gosh, I've missed you so much... What are you doing here?" Agnetha asked and gave Frida that smile that made Frida's heart melt. And always has done... "I have missed you so much... And I have missed Sweden. So, here I am! And, Björn and Görel have forced me to come to the meeting the day after tomorrow..." Agnetha laughed. "Yeah, they forced me too... I hope that Benny won't be there..."
"Why?" Frida asked. "It's just so weird with us all four together at the same time..."
"Maybe not anymore you know... It were some years ago we tried it."
"God, so cold! Come in..." Agnetha said without giving Frida any respons. When they came in they heard wonderful piano music. "Is it Tilda?" Frida asked. "Yeah, she has been so good!"
"Really.. How old is she now?"
"Soon fourteen."
"Oh my god... Time passes so fast..."
"I know..." Agnetha said with a sigh."Frida!!" Tilda exclaimed when she saw Frida in the door opening. She ran towards her and hugged her tightly. "Hi! God, you've been such a big girl..."
"Please... It's enough that grandma talks to me like that like everyday. Like I'm five or something..." Frida laughed. "Oh, sorry" she said with a smile, and Tilda smiled back.
"I have to go now, I will go to a friend's party" Tilda said and walked out to the hall. "Oh, nice!" Frida said. "Have fun darling" Agnetha said. "I will. Bye. Love you grandma."
"Bye sweetie!" Agnetha answered and then Tilda dissapeared.Agnetha and Frida took a cup of coffee and sat down around the kitchen table. "Are you hungry?" Agnetha wondered. "No, it's okay. I ate before I came."
"Okay. God! I have been missing you so much! It feels like you're not the real Frida actually. Because I haven't seen you..." Agnetha said and laughed. "But I promise you, I am. Because if not, I wouldn't be able to know the lyrics for the away-taken Dancing Queen verse..." Both laughed.
"I'm so glad to see you, Aggie..."
"Aw, Aggie... That was a long time ago you called me that..."
Frida smiled. "I know... Do you remember when we came up with that name?"
"Of course I do!" Agnetha exclaimed. "Wasn't if the same day as..."
Both started to roar with laugher.
"Eh, yes..."They talked and talked. They always have so much to talk about when the see each other. Old memories, secrets they shared... Everything...
Suddenly they heard a knock on the door, and in came Linda, her boyfriend Jens and their two other daughters Esther and Signe. "Hi, Frida" Linda said and gave her a hug. "Hi, how is it?"
"Just fine, thank you. And you then?"
"Fine, thanks." Frida said hi to Jens too, and she lifted up the youngest, Signe in her lap. "Hi darling" Frida said. "You have been such a big girl." Signe seemed to be a bit embarassed over the compliment, she just smiled slightly. Frida laughed mild. Soon they heard how Esther played the piano from the living room. Not as beautiful as Tilda had played... Not good at all actually. But she was just adorable.Linda sighed and sat down around the table and so did Jens. "She has been wild the whole day... I'm so tired..." Agnetha laid a hand on her shoulder. "Do you want me to let her sleep over here?"
"No, it's okay. Thanks anyway mom" Linda said with a smile, and Agnetha smiled back to her daughter. After some more talking Frida was ready to say goodbye for now. "How long will you be here?" Agnetha asked in the door opening. Frida stopped on the yard, and turned around. "It's planned for two weeks. So, when do you want to meet the next time?" Frida wondered and gave her friend a smile. "Can't we do something on Thursday after the meeting at the museum?"
"Sure, will you come to the hotel? Because we will be outside, right?"
"Yeah..." Agnetha said. "As long as we cover our faces enough!"
Frida laughed. "Okay, see you then. Bye!"
