"Mr. Haitani. It was you. Nice meeting you again." YN greeted Ren politely. "It's been a while."
"Its been years since I last saw you. Hows your life since Komi's passing?" Ren asked.
"Well it is hard but thanks to Utah-kun--- my adoptive father, Ran and especially Rindo. I had overcome my grief. It maybe hard but atleast--- I have them."
"Tsk. So Ran is still living with that bastard boy." Ren muttered that shocked YN. "So it seems my own son chose him over me--- his own father."
"E-excuse me Mr. Haitani?"
"I lost my contact to them since the Roppongi incident. They never called or even talked to me. Especially Ran. But I'm used to this. I know one day they will once again crawl with their knees, pleading for help from me." He continued that made Yn really confuse.
"T-they are not talking to you--- since when?"
"Since they are brought to the juvenile." Ren assured YN. "Why you look so shocked? They did not told you? So they are keeping this from you? You didn't know? That they had embraced the dark life with their fellow law offenders? Foolish children-- ill mannered-- wasting their life for nothing."
"I-I don't get it. Rindo told me that--- you two made up. He even said that you lend him a blackcard--- Rindo's lying?" YN silenced her thoughts and wonder Rindo if he's around. But no, she had left him at the store.
"No I didn't and why would I let that bastard gain something from me?" Ren asked YN.
"Mr. Haitani--- Ahm.. would you mind if I excuse myself. I'm going to find Rindo. Im with him a few minutes ago. We just got sepa---"
"You should stay yourself out from that filthy child. If I were you YN my dear. I rathered choose Ran than that bastard boy. You never knew, what he might end up with. After all, he is born from a sin."
"Why are you always so harsh to Rindo? He is your son---"
"You sure you knew who are you really with?" Ren sarcastically ask and wonder YN's shocked face. "To be fair enough, and to make you aware. Rindo isn't my own. He was my brother and late wife's son. He was the fruit of an affair. A bastard one! They betray me. Ran and Rindo were just half-brothers."
With this revelation, YN couldn't say anything. She felt a lot of mixed emotions. Mixed emotions she wasn't sure that she should feel.
"Does Rindo know this? He maybe not--- how about Ran?"
"Ran know it since the beginning. My late wife told him." Ren said and wondered the pitied face of YN. "The moment Ran knew it--- he even begged me to hide it from Rindo. But--- secrets aren't kept forever. Rindo learn to know about that little secret of our family that day they went through the juvenile. And it seems they aren't planning of telling you that."
"Actually--- t-they didn't." And YN turned quiet.
In the middle of YN's silence, a man in a black tuxedo arrives. He went closer to Ren and call him out.
"Mr. Haitani. I think we have to go. The meeting will start within a minute." The guy said.
"Okay." Ren answered and went to YN. "It seems that, you really didn't have any ideas about that little secret of our family. I have this little tip for you young lady--- becareful who you trust." Ren added and noticed YN's ring in her hand. "As a woman, you must always becareful who you choose. So you might not end-up the same way my late wife does. Remember that--- What the tree is, so is its fruit.." Then he bid farewell to YN.
