I had left Morgan and Perker at our base, so I could go do a supply run. I've been running around Seoul for over 2 hours, and I've found a dozen cans of vegetables, a few boxes of pasta, and lots of candy/soda. I had brought as much of it with me as I could, though I left space in my wagon for other stuff. I had also found a few tents, a sleeping bag, and some bug repellents. I was heading back to our base when I heard some voices.
"Hey Minho, do you really think there's anyone left? I mean we've been here for 3 years trying to find anyone, and the others don't think we will. We have to leave by November, so why not just leave now."
There were sentient beings left? I walked closer to them, dragging my wagon with my. Luckily for me the wagon made no noise when it moved. I looked around a corner into an alley, and there were 4 boys, a bit older than me by the looks of it. 1 was scary looking and had no emotions, 1 had a real sharp jaw and long hair that framed his face, 1 had a really puffy face like a kid, and the last 1 had braces.
"I don't know" Spoke the 1 with no emotions. "But Chan hyung said we would stay as long as we could. We haven't even been through a portion of Korea, and they want us back already. We have to hurry and look faster, otherwise we might miss anybody else who's alive."
I decided to play around with them, as it has been 10 years since I saw a person like myself. I stepped around the corner, and all 4 of their heads snapped to me, and their weapons or hands were raised at me. "Gee whiz, didn't know a guy can't exist peacefully around here. But if you want to know, there's only 3 of us left in Korea."
The 4 unknown males start walking to me, so I back up. I brought my wagon with me, as I still needed to make sure the girls were fed something for the next while. They stopped and looked at my wagon, then back at me, then back at my wagon.
"Who are you trying to feed with that much food? Unless it's gonna last you a few weeks?" The scary guy, who I assumed was Minho from the conversation earlier, asked me. I felt a barrier of energy behind me, so they must be trying to trap me.
"Great tactic," I tell them "But you can't keep me here. I got people who need me." Then the purple starts to pour out of my hand, and the whole barrier behind me slowly fades. The 4 in front of me stare in shock, at what I don't know, then I turn around and run with my supplies back to the base.
When I get there I am really out of breath, and I'm panting like a dog. Perker comes over to me, "What happened to you? Run a marathon?" She joked with me. "I might as well have. I ran from the city all the way back here. There's a group of people there, and they are searching for any survivors. I talked with them a little bit, when they tried to kidnap me. I used my powers and high-tailed it out of there."
Perker looked concerned, but let me inside. We put all the stuff I had found in the pantry of the house, and then went back outside. Morgan was outside, and she was trying to channel water with her trident, again. It wasn't working so well though.
"Morgan, think about the trident as being an extender of your powers. It's a way to harness the powers of water and ice, so treat it like it is that!" She does as I ask, and she finally is able to channel the water through the trident. "Now that you've got it, come here!" Perker shouts at her.
Morgan runs over to us, trident in hand, and almost stabs me and Perker in the process. "Woah, careful" I mutter, as I'm barely able to dodge the trident. "Sorry" she tells me, then looks at Perker "Need anything?"
"Well this great brother of ours went on mission critical right?" She recieves a not from Morgan "Well he met some other people there, and he interacted with them. Now these people want him, and he also showed them his powers, which will make them want him ever more. I bet they even followed him here." Perker and I sigh at the same time.
I look at them "Guess it's time to get all our weapons ready. I want you both back here in 10 minutes, with all your gear and weapons attached to you. I also want you in our battle outfits, and bring a bag with you. Put all you twos' clothes in one bag. Grab all the trinkets and books and other stuff like that in the other. "I'll get the food and my clothes in a bag, and I'll get the sewing materials as well." They nod, and we all go to do our alloted task.
We meet back up ten minutes later, and we have all our weapons, and each have a rucksack, though I have 2. We head out to the front of our house. We grab the extra weapons that were lying around in the yard, then put them in the bag of clothes, which Morgan had decided to carry.
We then started to move, and went to the edge of our old neighborhood. that's when we heard the voices, though this time there were more voices. The 3 of us look down the road that would take us out of the neighborhood complex, and there's 8 guys walking, 4 of which I saw earlier.
Morgan sighed "We can't leave unless we go to them, so what do we do?" I calmly told her "We have to go to them, otherwise who knows what will happen to us." I motion for them to follow me and they do, but they walk behind me, as we practiced for this scenario.
One of the guys I saw earlier, the one who looked like a kid saw us, and started yelling "Chan Hyung! Minho Hyung! There's the guy we saw earlier!" All 8 of their heads snapped to my group, and I heard Perker breathe in and out. They all started walking faster, though us 3 kept our pace. Eventually we were about a meter from their group, and everybody stopped moving.
I looked at Perker, and she understood my silent question. They had at least 2 power weilding people in their group. We had three, but these few we could sense, which meant they were powerful. The leader of the group, I assumed since they all looked at him, spoke up.
"Hello ladies, and sir. I'm Bang Chan, and this is my special ops team, Stray Kids. We've been sent back to Korea to find any survivors of the disease. Are you three the only ones, or are there more of you?"
Me and my sisters sigh in unison, which earns a few puzzled glances from the 8 in front of us. "They're gone" I said, "No one's left" Morgan continued "Such a tragedy" Perker finished it off. We then looked at each other and started laughing. We stopped after about ten seconds, and the people in front of us still stared with confusion.
One of the guys I saw earlier, the one with the sharp face, asked "What do you mean by that? And why are you laughing at that?" Morgan then turned to me and asked "Logan, did he just-?" And she fell to the ground with tears in her eyes.
Perker had also fallen to the ground, and I was trying to hold back my laughs for the sake of the people before us. "What we meant is that there is nobody left in Korea. You can try to find them, but most of them either died by natural or unnatural measures, killed themselves, or are in the Dead Colony which is a bit closer to the coast from here."
Bang Chan, as he introduced himself, stepped forward "Well in that case I'd like to ask you-"
