Lantern Rite Festival oneshot story with the Geo Archon Zhongli

    "Mr Zhongli, look! The lantern rite decorations are starting to come up"
    "Hm, it appears so."
    "There's something on your mind, I can see it on your face!"
    "Nothing you need to concern yourself with, Hu Tao."
    "Well. I cant have my consultant not up to his fullest! Go out and explore around the city, I'll be here when you come back"

Hu Tao then ran off into the Parlour to continue her business. Zhongli, left standing there, decided to do as she said and have a wander around the Harbour. Shops starting to sell Lanterns, people starting to hang up decorations in the light of day, and activities for the festival starting to be set up. This is the Liyue that Zhongli wished for. The Liyue where humans are free to look after themselves and divulge in their wants, enjoying the peace and security of the nation. Zhongli was at peace as he was making his way around the Harbour, he decided to make his way from the Harbour over to the Guyun Stone Forest for memories sake. However, while making his way over to the Stone Forest, he noticed a familiar figure already there.
     "Y/n..?"

Y/n had decided that as beautiful as the Harbour was being decorated, that there was too many people out and about roaming and that you wished for some peace while admiring the Harbour. Guyun Stone Forest has always had a special place in her heart, the peaceful tranquillity of the Stone Forest, the ocean scent and light breeze, the quietness of the area, it always had a special spot in her heart. Y/n hadn't even gotten far into the Stone Forest before she heard someone call out her name,
    "Y/n..?"

She turned around. Turned around to where the voice saying her name had come from. Turned around to a tall male, he had amber eyes and dark brown hair.
     "I'm sorry.. how do you know my name?"

The man had a slightly disappointed face for a moment after she spoke, before he shook his head, revealing a swaying small tail of hair that went down to his waist.
     "Ah, my apologies. You seemed to have reminded me of someone, my name is Zhongli."

The brunette haired male who she found out was called Zhongli, started walking away after that.
    "Wait! May I ask who that person is? My name is Y/n, so forgive me for asking however it's odd hearing of someone else that is similar to me with my name"

The 'Zhongli' man stood still for a second and turned his head back towards Y/n.
    "Hm. If we meet again maybe"

And after that he left. Y/n just left standing there, not quite sure what to say. Who was this man? Why did he know her name? What's his deal?? All these questions and no answers to them. What was she to do.

Zhongli wasn't sure why he left her there. He wasn't sure why he called out her name. He wasn't sure why he was slightly disappointed she didn't remember him. Y/n... he knew her from a few years ago, when she was just starting out her life in the Harbour, he first met her when she was scrambling around trying to find where everything was, from there, he would walk around the Harbour with her everyday, exploring around the city and showing her the best spots he knew within Liyue. One day however, she just vanished. Disappeared. She never showed back up to where they always met. Zhongli would stand there waiting of a morning for no sign of the h/c woman. She disappeared two Lantern Rites ago. Why had she returned? Where did she go? Why didn't she say anything to him all that time ago? Why didn't she remember him? All these questions and no answers to them. What was he to do.
