Evelina emerged from the invigorating warmth of her shower and delicately dried her flowing tresses. A loose robe draped gently over her figure, causing droplets of water to cascade seductively down her neck and meander leisurely onto her chest. The flush on her cheekbones, a consequence of the heated embrace of the shower, gave an ethereal glow to her bare countenance as she basked in the moonlight filtering through the balcony.
With tenderness, Evelina untangled each strand with a brush before securing them in an artfully haphazard braid. She then slipped into a white satin nightgown, embellished with delicate lace that hung effortlessly from one shoulder like wisps of cloud suspended in midair.
The abode she found herself within was modest yet imbued with a comforting aura that enveloped her senses. Mr. Cho had exhibited his gentlemanly nature by procuring provisions for their enjoyment – vegetables, utensils, and delectable cuisine were readily available along with wines and whiskey to heighten their pleasure. Settling upon the darkness-shrouded sofa in the tranquility of their living room sanctuary, Evelina cradled a wine glass within slender hands while clutching tightly to her phone with contrasting forcefulness.
Her emerald eyes fixated upon its luminous screen as thoughts swirled incessantly within her mind. Her thumb hesitated momentarily before caressing softly against the name denoting ownership: that of her beloved husband whom she yearned to communicate with once more—after much contemplation—the number was dialed.
A captivating masculine resonance reverberated from hidden depths beyond, uttering a simple greeting of "Hello?"
Ah, the mere sound of his voice sparked a flutter in her stomach. She gently pressed her lips together, exhaling softly without speaking a word. Though they had joined in matrimony just yesterday, the profound effect he had on her was enough to ignite Vincenzo's pride within. In his presence, she felt like an inexperienced adolescent stumbling over words and becoming flustered before her beloved crush.
However, Evelina's countenance crumbled ever so slightly as soon as she caught wind of the nickname which her husband reserved for her – "Nuisance."
A soft gasp escaped her lips, "Pray tell, what is the significance behind this term 'Nuisance'? Could you not conjure a more endearing and charming nickname, Mr. Cassano?"
"Why, may I ask, did you find 'Mr. Grumpy Face' to sound irresistibly adorable?" His velvety voice inquired playfully but with a touch of mock indignation. She couldn't help but giggle at his retort as she took a sip of wine and placed the call on speakerphone before setting it delicately on the table before her.
"Do you not think such a nickname suits your character quite fittingly?" Her teasing smile adorned her countenance even though she was aware he could not see it since their communication transpired solely through vocal means rather than face-to-face interaction.
