Amber eyed the seat in front of her just when its owner came into view. Arms crossed obviously upset with something, well upset with her. Mindy sits and faces Amber, like she's waiting for something. Amber knows what this is. To say Mindy, Chad and Liv were only Tara's friends was never right. She loved them too. But when she broke up with Tara she broke up with them too. So in response to the staring contest going on right now Amber pinches the bridge of her nose, and sighs.

"What Mindy" Amber says
"I just think it's funny how that after all that chasing after her you did when she was with Wes and when she broke with Wes you get her and just throw her away." Mindy replies curtly.

Amber squints her eyes and is getting visibly upset.
"Throw her awa-" Amber tries to question.
"You're a real asshole Amber." Mindy cuts her off.
Amber laughs and shifts closer to Mindy.
"And you're an overbearing dumbass. You know outside of the "Seraphim Society" and outside of you Tara and I have always had a relationship that never needed to be monitored or dissected by you. She didn't need you to come in here and speak to me. And I didn't need you to come in here and speak to me. So how about yo-"
"Freeman, Meeks something to share with the class?" The teacher Amber doesn't know the name of finally cuts in.
Amber sighs and sits back in her chair.
Mindy glares at her before scoffing and turning around in her chair. "No Ma'am" Mindy says.
"Good" Ms. Stevens says and gets back to talk about whatever class this is. Anger practically wafts off Mindy for the rest of class and when the bell rings she's the first out the door. Amber would've been at least third if her phone didn't go off. She steps back from the door and lets the other students go out as she checks her phone.

Billysrevenge: 2 more days 🔪🔪🔪🔪

It read.

Amber closes her eyes and sighs. As if she could forget how many days were left. She types back her response

Stusparents: 🔪🔪🔪🔪

She walks out the door and makes her way outside and she sees Tara sitting on the curb. She quickly realizes Chad and Mindy's van is gone. And she sighs again. Why is everything so annoying today she thinks. She makes her way behind Tara, she doesn't say anything she takes just two minutes to look at her before reaching her hand out to tap her.
But last minute she decides against it and clears her throat instead. Tara slowly lifts her head up to Amber's direction. She's tired Amber notices. Amber puts both her hands on the straps of her shoulder strap and tilts her head to better look at Tara. "Chad, Mindy and Liv left."
"Oh." Amber says in reply. There's no way I pissed her off that bad Amber thinks.

Amber weighs her options driving tara herself or calling her an Uber. She wants to drive Tara herself but that's an obvious problem because then she'll want to touch Tara. An uber is a problem because then Tara will wait for it by herself or she could wait with Tara but what's the point when she HAS a car. Just when she's about to make a decision lightning rips through the sky with the sound of thunder following seconds later. It starts to rain and a car pulls up beside them.

The window rolls down and "I'll take you home Tara." Amber stares up at Wes and thinks about what this means.
The second the last bell of the day rings Wes is gone everyday. He has a curfew, he has to check in with his mom everyday after school or she'll come find him. So he raced home and checked in with her. Chad, Mindy and Liv left Tara. And he raced back here to take her home. Amber rolls her eyes and looks back to Tara who's staring at her like she never looked away. Amber keeps eye contact with her as she takes her backpack off to hold over Tara's head to shield her from the rain.

"I have it Wesley. Go home." Amber says as she takes Tara's backpack off her lap so she can stand up.

Wes scoffs. "Tara, are you going to be okay going home with her?"

Amber looks at Tara as she gets up awaiting her answer so Wes can shut up and leave already.

"I am perfectly fine, Wes." Tara says.

Wes clenches his jaw and glares at Amber before pulling off.

"He's really not that far from being able to be categorized as a creep" Amber says.

Tara hums in reply.

They begin their walk to Ambers' car at the far end of the parking lot. She always parks there.
Why?
Tara recounts three memories.
The first time they skipped class together was spent in this parking space.
"Would you rather be in class with Mr. Davis or out here with me, completely undetected?" Amber asks her as she bites both parts of the KitKat. When Tara realizes that's what Amber had done she says "with Mr. Davis immediately please."
The first time Tara had gotten high
"If you would relax, you wouldn't cough" Amber says while rubbing her back in circles.
"I feel like I'm going to die" Tara rasps out with tears coming down her eyes.
The first time they kissed and the day that led to their first time.
Amber had been asking for it that day and Tara knew she had no right to kiss her they were only friends and she had broke up with Wes a week before. "Don't look at me like that." Tara says and she counts those words as a warning to this day. Amber licks her lips slowly and glances at Tara's before meeting her eyes and replying "Like what?".

Tara thanks god Amber is walking behind her, cause she's too tired to try and hide her blush and fumble with a response as to why she's blushing. Amber unlocks the door with her keys , opens the door for Tara and put the bags in the back. When she finally makes it into the driver's seat. And Tara sees how wet Amber is from the rain she knows she has to kiss her today.
