A girl wanted to see the world. She wanted to go away, she didn't want to live the same boring life day after day. So one day she decided to pack her things and leave. She left a note to her family and promised to be back soon enough. She explored the neighbouring area, but it wasn't different enough from what she was used to. She wanted more. So, she decided to travel further. She reached a town she had never heard of before. She smiled at this fact, and took the time to look around. She was intrigued by the different style of architecture. But after a day or two she grew bored of this town as well. She decided to move along. She traveled further, fueled by her curiosity. She liked the taste of adventure and wanted more. She had thoughts of home sometimes. But they were nothing compared to all the beautiful new and exciting scenes she was exploring. On her travels she saw a beautiful bird, and wanted to know where it came from. She decided to follow it in its migration. The bird took her over mountains and through deserts. She traveled through jungles and over water. Until finally she reached its nesting place. It was a luscious place, filled with types of plants and animals she's never seen the like of. All this beauty made her want to share. She wanted to share her sense of awe and amazement. But with who? The animals around her saw these amazing views each and every day. There was no point in sharing her discovery with them. She looked behind her. She felt a sense of longing. But for what, she could not say. She decided to make this wondrous place her home. And with that she was able to gaze upon its beauty every day. She felt as if she finally found her home. Though sometimes she would look over her shoulder, across the landscape. She had a feeling that there was more over the horizon. But this feeling wasn't the same as before. She didn't feel the innate urge to explore anymore. Instead she felt something she couldn't quite place. An emptiness. As if there was a world before her. One which she could not remember.
