"Sorry," I stammered, my cheeks flushed with embarrassment as I tried to gather myself after the collision.

"It's fine," the man responded in a deep, smooth voice that held an air of sophistication. He stood tall, impeccably dressed in a black suit that seemed tailored to perfection. His black smooth hair framed his face with a touch of unruly charm, and his eyes the color of the ocean captured my attention like a spell.

His bone structure was flawless, as if he had stepped out of a Renaissance painting. Every detail about him seemed meticulously crafted, and I couldn't help but be mesmerized by his presence.

As I continued to gawk, lost in a trance, his expression shifted to one of confusion, followed by a subtle hint of arrogance. He frowned his eyebrow and looked at me with piercing eyes that seemed to bore into my soul.

"Are you okay?" he asked, his tone a mix of curiosity and bemusement.

I snapped out of my daze, my face growing hotter with each passing second. "Yes, I'm fine," I mumbled, my words barely audible, as I quickly turned to leave the scene of my embarrassment.

Great, I thought, this was my first day at my dream job, and I managed to make a complete fool of myself.

I finally met up with the rest of the new hires and the tour guide, but I was struggling to focus on anything other than the mysterious man I had bumped into. Who was he? Why did he have such an intense effect on me?

After a wild first day, I decided to head to the gym to work off the stress. I dialed Ethan's number and put my phone on speaker as I began my workout routine. The rhythmic sound of my footsteps on the treadmill mixed with the hum of our conversation.

I recounted the events of the day, the frustration evident in my voice. "I went extremely late, and to make things worse, I bumped into this guy who looked like some rich owner or something. It's not a great first impression, is it?" I sighed, feeling a mix of annoyance and embarrassment.

Ethan's voice, always a soothing presence, came through the phone. "You're overthinking it, Flors. Everyone makes small mistakes on their first day. Don't be too hard on yourself."

I appreciated his reassurance, his words providing a much-needed balm for my frayed nerves. "Thanks, Ethan. You always know how to make me feel better."

Ethan's tone turned playful. "So, how about we grab a meal after your workout? It'll be a nice way to unwind and forget about the stresses of the day."

I hesitated, thinking about the mountain of work that awaited me at home. "I'm not sure, I have so much to do, and you know how these work projects can pile up."

Ethan was persistent, his persuasive charm working its magic on me once again. "Oh, come on, it's just a meal. We won't stay out all night. You have plenty of time to tackle your boring work projects."

I couldn't help but chuckle at his enthusiasm. "Alright, Ethan, you win. Let's grab a meal."

Ethan's voice filled with triumph. "Deal! I'll pick you up after your workout. See you soon."

As I hung up the phone and continued my workout, a sense of anticipation welled up within me. The promise of a simple meal with my best friend felt like a beacon of light amidst the chaos of my day. Besides, I was genuinely hungry and didn't want to go to bed starving.
