Your current age: 18
Camryn: 19

The morning sun's gentle embrace cast its warm rays through the window, nudging a slumbering young lad awake. He groaned, tossing to avoid the light, but peace was short-lived as his door swung open with a forceful bang.

Mother: "Good morning, my dear! How about some delicious eggs and bacon to start your day sweetly?"

She beamed, holding a breakfast tray laden with scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and perfectly toasted bread. A glass of orange juice sparkled in the morning light. Y/n squinted up at her, not pleased.

Y/n: "Mom, I told you not to startle me like that!"

He rubbed his eyes, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep as his mother chuckled softly.

The young man, now identified as Y/n, wore a clearly perturbed expression at being startled by his own mother, while she couldn't help but let out suppressed laughter.

Mother: "Oh, my apologies, my dear. I was trying to create a surprise breakfast for your last few days of school. Oh, I'm so proud my baby is becoming a man!"

Y/n let out a small grunt at the mere mention of "school." Of course, he didn't want to go back considering the traditions many have to go through when the finals are approaching.

Y/n: "But Mom, I really don't want to go to school...."

He crossed his arms defiantly. The mere thought of the upcoming finals made his stomach churn. Yet, at the mention of Camryn, his resolve wavered.

Mother: "Now, now, sweetie, I know how....hectic things can be on your final days at high school. Besides, Camryn is eagerly waiting for you. She'll be disappointed if you don't go with her."

Y/n perked up at the mention of that name.

Y/n: "Camryn is here?"

His mother's smile grew wider, fully aware that Y/n would never want to disappoint Camryn; he was just too sweet for that.

Mother: "Yes, she and her family are in the living room. I had to stop her from barging into your room and dragging you downstairs."

She added the last part with a small giggle, remembering how impatient Camryn had been, nearly yanking Y/n downstairs by the collar of his shirt.

Y/n: "W-well, I guess I don't want to keep her waiting."

His mother smiled, confident in knowing that Y/n wouldn't refuse.

Mother: "Wonderful, dear! Here, eat your breakfast, get dressed, and come see everyone downstairs, okay?"

Y/n nodded, and his mother affectionately cupped his face, planting a tender kiss on her child's forehead.

Mother: "Don't take too long now. It's impolite to keep a girl waiting."

He nodded once more, and his mother, seemingly satisfied with his response, walked towards the door and left, leaving him alone with his breakfast on the bed. He didn't want to keep his best friend waiting for too long, so he ate his breakfast swiftly, but not so quickly as to risk a stomach ache later. Successfully finishing his favorite breakfast, he got up and made his way to his closet.

There, he selected his favorite outfit, consisting of a comfortable blue hoodie, a crisp white t-shirt, a pair of well-fitting jeans, and his trusty sneakers. After dressing, he headed out of his room and descended the stairs, where everyone had gathered. He recognized the familiar faces of his parents and a few more people he knew well. Among them were Camryn and her mother, all eagerly awaiting his arrival.
