Since the accident where Rhodes got hurt because of the fight at the Leipzig airport, Tony hasn't been really talkative lately and has been off.
He's working a lot downstairs - like he is now
"Y/N, Tony isn't feeling well, would you like to see after him?" tells me Jarvis while I'm baking some cookies in the kitchen to maybe cheer up Tony.
"Will do Jarvis. Thank you" as I make my way downstairs I can see through the glass Tony sitting on the chair with his head in his hands.
After I opened the door I make my way silently to him and hear him - wait . He's crying
My poor baby
I put my hands on his shoulder blades from behind which causes him to jump a bit and look up.
That teary red eyes - breaking my heart
"Let me hug you Baby" I tell him and sit on his lap so he can rests his head in the crook of my neck and can let the tears slip while I'm smoothing his hair out.
"It's not your fault" i feel him nodding and I hug him tighter while he cries more.
"I almost caught him. Now he can't probably walk because of me" he tells me and looks me in the eyes while I put my hands on his wet cheeks to put the tears away.
"Tony accidents happen. Rhodes knew his risk when he flew that suit" I tell him and give him a kiss on the forehead.
"You know that I love u right?" Tony nods his head puts his head back in the crook of my neck and lets his hands rest on my waist.
"I made some cookies upstairs. Do you want some ?" I ask him while I massage his head.
Tony nods and gives me a kiss on my cheek before I get off his lap and pull him with me upstairs.
