The First Encounter

Kathryn walked in to camp for the first time since last year. This was her 5th year of camp. As she walked into her assigned area she saw him. Her heart instantly started beating faster. She fell head over heals with him. She continued walking to her group though. Once she got to her group she saw all her old friends from past years and began catching up with them. After a few weeks past she found out his name ... Jack. She also found out that he was going to her middle school the following school year. She was so happy she could barely contain her smile. The only way she knew how to hide her feelings was to just be the opposite to him... mean. She knew this would probably push him farther away but she couldn't think of anything else. She knew he didn't even know she existed but she couldn't control who her heart loved. Then camp was over and she thought about him everyday until school started.
