(Russian Empire's POV - A Normal Evening in the Russian Empire)

As I sat in my opulent office within the heart of the Russian Empire, an air of monotony surrounded me. It was just another normal day in this vast empire of ours, perhaps a bit too normal. My hand ached from hours of ceaseless writing, each stroke of the pen etching the affairs of the nation into history.

With a heavy sigh, I allowed my weary eyes to drift away from the mountain of paperwork before me and up towards the grandiose clock that adorned the wall. Its rhythmic ticking and tocking were my only companions in this late hour.

...

To my surprise, the clock's hands pointed to 10:40 PM. Time had slipped through my fingers, unnoticed and unheeded. I muttered to myself, "Hm... 10 PM already?" I rose from my ornate chair, grabbing the remnants of unfinished documents and hastily stashing them into a drawer.

...

Leaving my office, I walked down the dimly lit corridors of my palace, shutting the heavy door behind me. The palace was enveloped in an eerie silence, the coldness of the Russian night settling in.

Footsteps echoed through the vast, empty hallways as I made my way to the kitchen. There, I extinguished the lights, relying solely on the silvery glow of the moon to guide me. I reached for a mug from the antique cup holders, pouring myself a steaming cup of caffeinated solace.

As I watched the tendrils of steam curling upwards, my thoughts wandered into the past. Memories began to resurface, and I couldn't help but reminisce about him...

...

(Flashback - Russian Empire and Prussia)

The meadow was alive with laughter, the joyous sound of Prussia's giggles filling the air as he sprinted away, and I gave chase through the field. "Catch me if you can!" he taunted, his legs carrying him away with remarkable speed.

"Hey, that's not fair! You know you're faster than me!" I called out, though the pout on my face was anything but genuine.

"Haha! Well, that's your problem. You're just not as strong as me!" Prussia declared, his confidence unshaken.

...

We found ourselves seated in that very meadow again, this time under a gentle sun. I plucked delicate flowers from the ground, meticulously weaving them into a crown. It took time, but I eventually completed it and gently placed it upon Prussia's head.

With a mischievous grin, he adjusted the flower crown to a more comfortable position and we both burst into laughter. Then, it was Prussia's turn to reciprocate. "Hey! I've got an idea. Stay right here, I'll be back!"

"Alright!" I replied, curiosity piqued.

Prussia scampered away into the sea of wildflowers, determined to find the perfect blossom for my crown. After a bit of searching, he triumphantly crafted one into a crown shape and returned to me.

"Woah! Prussia, is this for me?" I asked in awe.

"Yep! Pretty cool, huh?" Prussia said, his chest swelling with pride.

...

...

I couldn't help but smile at the cherished memory, my heart warmed by the recollection of our friendship. As I sipped my drink and gazed out into the night, I contemplated a question that had lingered in my mind for years:

"Should I visit with my best friend after all these years?"
