After some times in 6th grade Thea felt that something was just wrong she always felt like that she just didn't care about it. She didn't have any attraction towards men or boys. She always felt left apart in her group of friends and even with her family sometimes .

Except with Bella, she always got butterflies and I mean extreme butterflies the type of butterflies that u feel a pain in your tummy when they were together and there was that feeling of understanding. So after some time in 7th grade, after a long time of thinking about it Thea realize she loves women and she accepted it. She was so scared to come out to Bella she was thinking of the worst but since she love her she had to do it. One day they went on a picnic and she told Bella about it. To her surprise Bella only responded that she always knew it cause she always felt like that too. So we can say that it was a double coming out but it was there secret.

During the year Thea was just going through a transformation like style, personality and everything about her she went from feminine to masculin and she liked it . She finally felt normal. Her family didn't really accept it but it was her choice whereas Bella who was not ready and a bit scared. But the point is that they were both sure that they were lesbian. Except that one was out and the other one still in the closet
