Which garden pot suits a killer flower?

                                                          10 YEARS LATER....

"Okay, let's do this." You take a deep breath a step into the cave, headlight penetrating the darkness. For most kids your age, spelunking is not a very fun leisurely activity. But you're not most kids. While looking into a dark cave might leave some people scared, it makes you feel determined. You brush some dandelion seeds off of your boots. The new cave you've discovered  is only accessible through a dandelion field. You're about to step in, when your phone buzzes. You look down to see who texted. It's your mom. Hun, just make sure you don't stay too long. Be safe. Text me if anything happens!!!!! You laugh, and immediately type your response.

Mom, I'm 17, I'll be fine! I'll be home by 7, don't worry.  You type back, slipping your phone back into your backpack, which contained some rope, a first aid kit, an apple, and some water. As you enter into the cave and get farther and farther from the light coming from the gaping cave mouth, you notice some strange plants. "That's weird... what kind of vines are these?" You wonder, furrowing your eyebrows as you examine them. You're an expert on all the plants in this area, and a lot of recently extinct ones, too. You keep walking, and the vines get closer and thicker. "That's really odd. These aren't like any I've seen or heard of. I wonder whatAAAAAAACCCCKKK!" You trip on a large vine, but you don't hit the ground. Instead, you're falling down a huge hole. After about a minute, you can see something. "AAAAAAAOOOOF!" You land on a bed of huge yellow flowers, your legs getting all the brunt of the fall. You inhale sharply as you lose all feeling in them.

"I'm not going to be home by seven..." You think groggily, and then you fall down.

"Ugh... where am I?" You sit up gingerly, rubbing the back of your head where a bruise was forming because of your collapse. You can barely see where the pit started and where the cave began up above, it was so dark. "Okay, I don't think I'm dead." You murmur, checking yourself and  scanning your surroundings. Besides the flower bed you landed on and some broken columns, the place is empty. You brush a flower out of your hair, and look at the walls. "I think I can climb these," You think, slipping off your backpack and getting out some rope. You tie it around a rock jutting out from the side. You're about to climb it, when... "Oh gosh, what am I going to tell Mom?" A wave of panic washes over you as you realize that you might be stuck here forever, and she'll never know what happened to you. You immediately reach into your pocket for your phone. You nervously press the green call button, and wait until the call goes to voice message.

"Um, hi Mom! So, I fell into a pit exploring, I'm fine, and I think I can climb my way back up to the top. Love you, and please don't panic!" Even though I am. You think grimly as you end the voice mail. You get back on the rope, hoisting yourself up onto the rock.

"Where are you going?"

The voice is so sudden and loud in the unbearable silence that you fall backward onto the flower bed again. You can hardly breathe, both from the fear of who- or what- spoke, and from falling on your back. What could possibly be down here that could talk? Maybe it was another person! You  snatch up your backpack and begin to look around, your headlight illuminating the empty room. Empty, except for one golden flower, separate from the rest.

"Howdy! I'm Flowey! Flowey the flower! Oh! You're a new face!" Your heart stops, and it feels like reality is coming apart. How is this possible? Where the heck even ARE you? And why do you feel like you've already been through this? You take a deep breath, and slowly back up

Okay, think through this. If I'm seeing a talking flower, I must have bumped my head harder than I thought. A talking flower is like a... monster... And then your eyes fly open, realization coursing through you like ice. "Nope, no, this is not real. This is not a monster. Monsters are just legends that tell kids that they shouldn't go places their parents don't want them to." You mutter under your breath. By this time you're completely up against the rock that surrounds the room.

"Oh, don't be afraid! Even though I'm a monster, I'm not very threatening." He laughs a hollow laugh that echoes around the cave. "You must be so confused! My name is Flowey, and as I can see, you've already figured out that you're in the Underground! Here, I can explain everything." He beckons you closer with a green vine. You move closer to him, despite what your gut is screaming at you, and look around. Ah! The closer you get to the flower, the more you can see a huge door. You are torn between getting out as fast as possible and hearing what the flower can explain. Never thought I'd have to choose between THAT you think. Your curiosity gets the better of you, and you hesitantly bend down to talk to the flower.

"Basics first. Your SOUL is the very culmination of your being. I can show you!" The flower smiles a painted smile.

"Wait, what? I don't-" Your question is cut off by a pulling sensation, right by your heart. "Wha...?" You start, and then a ruby red heart comes out of your chest, and floats in front of you. "That right there is your SOUL!" Flowey exclaims, popping up beside you. You are about to ask what your SOUL really does, when a box appears around it.

"What does my SOUL do down here? And why is there a floating box around my SOUL?" You trail off. You get the sense the flower is beginning to lose his patience.

"Why is she asking so many questions? Frisk never does. Where are they?" He mutters, almost too low for you to hear. Almost.  "What do you mean, 'Frisk never does?' Who's that?" You ask, furrowing your eyebrows. Flowey breezes on, either not hearing or not caring about your question. "So your SOUL is what keeps you alive down here. And when you interact with a monster, a box forms around your soul so it's easier for you to collect friendship pellets!" He continues. You raise a questioning eyebrow and cross your arms. Something's not right here...

"Catch them! I'll send them toward you!" Flowey exclaims, false excitement in his voice. Okay, no. Absolutely not. I'm not going to just stand around and wait to be hurt. You think, preparing to move your SOUL away from the "pellets" flying toward it. To your surprise, it's easier to control than you thought it was. Flowey's mask breaks for a second, and you see something behind that fake smile. Something dangerous. "Let's try that again. I'll send the friendship pellets, and you catch them" He says in a forced happy tone. You dodged it again.

"Ah, I see. You're playing with me. You're trying to make me mad. And it's working. You know, there's a little saying we have down here," Flowey says casually. Somehow that makes it even more terrifying. Your heart starts beating against your ribcage, and you immediately start booking it toward the exit, your soul still in the fight. "Down here, IT'S KILL OR BE KILLED!" Flowey grins demonically, and your SOUL is surrounded by the pellets.

"Ugh... uugh" You grumble, straining to run forward. But you can't. Your SOUL is keeping you in place. The pellets are surrounding your SOUL, and closing in.

"Oh my gosh, I'm gonna die." You realize, panic coursing through you. So you do the only thing you can. You force your SOUL between two friendship pellets, and you could've sworn that it brushed them. But you are free from the pellets!  Immediately, you hit the MERCY button and smash the flee button. You're free! The look on Flowey's face is the look of utter confusion. But only for a moment.

"Well, I love a chase!" He bellows, and vines with lethal looking thorns shoot toward you. Time to run. You turn on your heels and rush out of the cavern. You can hear the vines creeping behind you, curling around broken pillars and following you. You leap over old spikes, and jump out of holes in the ground at one point when the ground collapses in certain areas. Whoever made these...huff...had a plan to kill me. A house comes into sight eventually, and you run with all the energy you have toward it. You have no idea if Flowey is still following, but you're not about to stop to find out. You enter the house and run down a staircase, adrenaline racing through you. After bolting down a long hallway, you force open a pair of doors and race outside.
