ARIELLE SITS ON THE edge of her seat applying makeup to her face, sighing quietly to herself. '3 nights' by dominic fike was playing softly in the background as she was applying her blush onto her cheeks. monse and elaine had told her about a party that she was meant to be at in a couple hours, but she really didn't feel like she was in a mood to socialize and converse with others but she said yes, nonetheless.
she's honestly not quite sure why she said yes to them when they asked, i guess she just felt like if she declined the invite, it would give them the impression that she doesn't like them or want to be friends, even though they are literally her best friends and have been for way too long.
monse, elaine, and arielle have been friends for about 6 years and they are basically know everything about eachother. it's safe to say they know about her history with anxiety and just bad mental health, they know what it's like as well. she doesn't remember what grade they were in when they first met since she felt like it was decades ago, but she knows that they all became friends in art class.
monse walked up to arielle and elaine, as they were sitting next to each other back then, and asked then if her drawing looked good. it was a drawing of a giraffe holding some kind of food, it was more so a blob but her and elaine didn't want to tell her that so they just said that it looked 'really good!', even though it kind of looked like shit.
their friendship blossomed from there, they were always together.
monse and elaine were literally in the same room as arielle when she had her first kiss, which was quite an ugly one at that. they were always trying new things, like when they smoked their first cigarette. they were 16 and in monse's room, her room was a pretty stereotypical teenage girl room. it had vines hanging on the walls, posters of her favorite artists, she even had a little green bean bag chair right next to her book shelf in the corner. anyways, elaine was the first one to try it, which was kind of weird since she was normally the one who was scared to try things they weren't supposed to be doing, but nevertheless, she grabbed the lighter and lit the cigarette that she stole from her mom, they brought tissues and some other bullshit that they thought they needed but they didn't really use it. anyways the moral of the story is that they did everything with eachother.
until this month.
nothing really special happened but arielle's anxiety randomly got so much worse. she didn't understand or know why it just spiked randomly, but it did. she has been feeling so low and depressed, she has tried literally everything she normally does to try to tone it down but it isn't seeming to work. when elaine and monse asked her if she wanted to go party, she thought about how maybe getting shitfaced and wasted might help with the anxiety, granted, she has never drunk any kind of alcohol, she just wanted to try it out to see if it would with help with her mental health, even if it was just for a couple hours.
