It was a warm summer night in Seoul, and the streets were bustling with activity. Taeyeon and Jessica were walking home from a late-night practice session, tired but happy. They had just released their latest single, and it was already a huge hit.
As they walked, Taeyeon couldn't help but think about how much her life had changed since she met Jessica. She had always been shy and introverted, but Jessica had brought her out of her shell. She was now more confident and outgoing, and she had made some of the best friends of her life.
But most of all, Taeyeon had fallen in love with Jessica. She knew that Jessica didn't feel the same way, but she couldn't help but hope.
As they reached Jessica's apartment building, Taeyeon stopped and turned to her. "Jessica," she said, "I need to tell you something."
Jessica looked at her, her eyes curious. "What is it?" she asked.
Taeyeon took a deep breath. "I'm in love with you," she said.
Jessica's eyes widened in surprise. "What?" she said.
"I'm in love with you," Taeyeon repeated. "I know you don't feel the same way, but I had to tell you."
Jessica didn't say anything for a moment. She just stared at Taeyeon, her face unreadable.
Finally, she spoke. "I'm flattered," she said. "But I don't feel the same way."
Taeyeon's heart sank. She had known this was coming, but it still hurt.
"I understand," she said. "I just had to tell you."
Jessica nodded. "I'm glad you did," she said. "I'm always here for you, no matter what."
Taeyeon smiled. "Thank you," she said.
They hugged, and then Taeyeon turned and walked away. She didn't look back.
As she walked, Taeyeon's heart was heavy. She knew that she would never forget Jessica, and she would always love her. But she also knew that she had to move on.
She took a deep breath and wiped away a tear. She had a bright future ahead of her, and she wasn't going to let this one setback stop her.
She continued walking, determined to never look back.
