________'s POV

I'm at the local doctor. Seems the usual check up.  My entire life, I've had a disease in of which is said to be vile and deadly. Not contagious however, it simply just wastes me away. I'm not dead yet am I?

I live in Elizabeth Midford's manor. I have since my parents died.

I feel depressed, but I know I should live my life in happiness, and enjoy what I have left. However I've never told anybody that I'm going to die.

Not even my dearest friend Elizabeth. Nor her fiancee Ciel, whom I've come to take a liking to.

The tall doctor walks back in. His reddish brown hair lightly frames his face.

"________..." he looks down and shakes his head silently. "It seems you have about one week to live. Your health is declining rapidly, and I don't know how to cure you... it seems your fate is inevitable." He pushed up his thinly framed glasses and sighed. His crestfallen expression shows his true sincerity.

"I understand doctor..." I stand up and walk out, a single tear falls down my cheek.

I walk into my carriage and head back to Elizabeth's manor.

*timeskip*

I step through the doors of the manor and run up to my room. My stomach feels sick, like a hole of depression is eating through it. My mind races.

My heart is pounding louder then usual, I mentally snap and cry into my pillow.

'one week?! That's it!?'

Frustration overcomes me along with my depression and everlasting sadness.

I curl up in a ball on my bed and cry more intensely then before.

A knock sounds on my door.

"Leave me alone!" I shout at the door.

I can hear a faint gasp from my door.

"________...?" A faint girly voice sounds. "Whats wrong?"

It's Elizabeth.

She opens the door and walks in. She sees me in tears and rushes to my side.

"________ what's wrong?!" She kneels by me and pulls me into a tight hug.

"It's... it's nothing..."

"Are you sure? If you want I can get your mind off it! I'm just about to go visit Ciel!!! seeing him always cheers me up when I'm down!!!"

"I don't want him to see me like this..."

"Aw! Just c'mon!!!" She grabs me by the arm and 'sneaks' out of her manor hyperly.

You can't exactly be quiet when your running in a bright pink dress and loud shoes. But surprisingly, nobody catches the loud neon blur that's dragging me.

She busts through Ciel's door and leaves me outside. I just sit on the steps of the manor and continue to shed my tears.

Ciel's POV~

As I walk downstairs somebody busts through my door, it must be Elizabeth. I sigh as I see that it's her, and I brace myself for the impact of her death hug.

As she tackles me she squeezes the life out of me. I can almost feel my very soul escaping my body in the strength of her deadly grasp.

"CIEL!! I missed you soooo much!!!"

"Elizabeth.... can't... breathe..." I stagger out, gasping for air. My lungs slowly begin to constrict and I can feel my asthma building up.

"Ciel! I told you!! Call me Lizzy!!!"

I sigh the little air I have left as she lets go of me. I quietly take a deep breath in and look towards the door and see ________ sitting on the steps outside my manor. Elizabeth glances over happily.

"You brought ________ with you?" I question, although Lizzy doesn't know I think ________ is very beautiful. I would marry ________ if I wasn't engaged to Elizabeth. I can't break it off now, we're getting married in about one week.

Elizabeth calms down and starts making my servants look "cute". I place my hand on my walking stick and head over to ________...

________'s POV

I set my face in my hands, not sure what to do, when suddenly I feel a hand on my shoulder.

"Lizzy I already told you... I don't wanna talk about it..."

"________ it's me... Ciel..."

"C-Ciel?" I look up and see Ciel, whom I accidentally called Lizzy. I lower my head in embarrassment. Ciel still stands tall and confident. (He's only standing tall cause ur sitting down XD Ciel's short) He looks down with pitiful eyes, yet a single eyebrow raised, which indicates he likely doesn't care, however, his tone of voice says that he does.

"Did someone you had known die?"

"N-no but.. somewhat close..."

"It must deal with death then?" I nod my head at his question.

He holds a hand out to me. "________, would you like to have some tea with me? I'd like to show you some Phantomhive hospitality, and comfort you. You are a guest in my manor after all."

I wipe my tears and slightly nod. I take his hand and he leads me inside, where I sip tea with Ciel as he comforts me, even though he has no idea what's going on.

'What can I do a week? Can I cram the rest of my life into 7 days?'

My thoughts circle my head like a carousel of agonizing emotions.

Ciel's POV~

It's getting late and Elizabeth fell asleep in my chair. I suppose I'll let the two of them spend the night. ________ is staring at my chess pieces. I wonder if she knows how to play?

"________... would you like to play a game of chess?"

"M-me? I.... I'd love to. Chess is actually one of my favorite board games." (I don't know if it is or not just deal with it for now)

*timeskip again!*

________ is very good at playing chess. Probably one of the best I know. I'm actually shocked that a lady of her age would know how to play chess so skillfully.

I admire that in a woman.

When we finish our game I put ________ in check mate.

She smiles gently and accepts her defeat.

"Lady ________, if you'd like a room to stay in then you can spend the night here if you'd like."

"Really? Thanks Ciel, I would greatly appreciate it."

Ciel's butler Sebastian steps forward.

"Young master, would you like to head to bed?"

"Yes, but first, give ________ one of my night gowns. And have Mey-Rin assist her."

"Consider it done, My Lord." Sebastian takes Ciel to bed and Mey-Rin comes to assist me. She leads me a guest room and gets me ready for bed.

A mumble a thanks to Ciel before going to sleep, even though he can't hear me.
