Dumbledore hesitated, but finally started the first movie. Well, it was actually the "exclusive past content", but still.
The alarm ringed loudly, waking Mariana up as she groaned. She had barely slept at all.
A series of gasps could be heard from all over the hall. "Is that really you" a first year Hufflepuff whispered, looking at Mariana in amazement.
Mariana couldn't help but nod, not quite believing what she was seeing. Instead of her usual tied up short hair, her future self had grown her thick black mane until it fell straight and nearly touched her mid back. She looked healthier, somehow. Tired, but healthier.
Somehow prettier too. And taller: she could finally get to the highest cupboard without a bench.
"No waaaaay" Sirius whistled, nodding in approval.
She got up , wearing last night's tank top and sweatpants, and turned on the radio. That was her daily routine: wake up, radio, and then deal with the today's bullshit.
"Stayin' Alive" started playing in low volume, the happy tune contrasting with her scowl. "Ironic" she muttered, snorting softly as she grabbed the cold cup of coffee she had left over the counter the day before.
"What's that?" A pureblood Gryffindor asked, the concept of a radio being alien to him.
"It's a radio. You can listen to music and news through there" someone answered, and the Gryffindor awed in delight.
A fellow Hufflepuff shuffled, moving nearer to Mariana. "You look angry in there... You are usually so sweet!" she giggled.
Mariana nodded.
Grabbing an abandoned cup over her nightstand, she took a couple sips from last days coffee, and watched from the window as fog covered the city depressingly and a couple sirens blared at the distance. "What a nice day..." she sighed, bobbing her head at the music's rhythm.
"How is that a lovely day?" Snape scoffed. Despite not talking that loudly, Mariana heard him perfectly.
"Every day is a nice day if I wake up with the alarm". She said without thinking. Snape rolled his eyes, not understanding what she meant.
"What do you mean?" a fellow Hufflepuff eyed her weirdly.
"I c-can barely sleep normally... so I... ehm, I always wake up before I need to. Waking up with the alarm means I did rest that night. Somehow". She explained. Damn, she wanted to slap herself for how much she was stuttering.
'What a weirdo' Some thought. Others, like James, looked at her with worry.
Slowly, she walked to the apartment's small bathroom, and opened the cabinet hidden behind the mirror. Her hand moved to one of the couple yellow bottles in there, opening it to take her morning pill.
