September 12th 1972

It was a rainy night. Meg Green just finished putting her nicece Jo to bed for the night, when she hears a noise at the front door. She opened the door to discover no one was there.

When she looked down she found a moses basket. She looked inside to see a Baby wrapped in a Pink and Green blanket with the name Hannah Stitched into it. "How did you get out here little one, let's get you inside." She also noticed a diaper bag next to the basket, She grabbed it as well.

She put the basket down beside the couch, and stated to go through the diaper bag. "Now let's see what all you have in here." While she was looking she found two letters. One addressed to the Baby named Hannah, and one with no name on it. She Opened the one without the name. It Read

To the Women who will raise Her,

I Know I don't know you and you don't know me. I am simply writing this letter to explain. As you have more than likely realised I have left my Baby Hannah in your care. I didn't want to at first, but then I realised the best thing for her and me is to give her to someone who can give her more than I can. You may be wondering why I have chosen not to raise her myself. Well that is because I belive that an Adult will be better able to take care of her than a sixteen year old who is still a child herself. As you must have guessed I am not able to provide for her no matter how much I wish I could. My Parents were not pleased when they found out. They wanted me to get married to the boy who got me into this mess. As i said before I'm still a child myself, I got them to agree to let me have the Baby and give it up for adpotion. But I didn't want just anyone.

I wanted someone who would love My Hannah, My Litte Angel,as if She were their own. I Watched this house for a couple of hours today and noticed the little girl you have here and thought to myself she's the One who will love my Daughter with all her heart, and My little Girl will have some one to look up to.

Sincerly

Hannah's Mother

P.s. Show her the letter for her when she is old enough.

And with that Meg wiped her tears off her face set the letter down, and picked up the Baby Girl who she would take care for the rest of her Life.
