Thomas "Tommy" LaRusso
~Story~
Born in Newark, New Jersey, Thomas "Tommy" LaRusso is the older brother of Daniel, where he had plenty almost five years of experience in Karate, working his way up, earning his way up to the brown belt for his dedication and hard work.
One day, during a sparring session, Tommy accidentally tore his left ACL completely off the bone, ending his karate career as a whole, but it didn't end his time in the dojo, giving new trainees some advice when they needed help, based on his decade of experience.
Whenever Tommy was asked if he felt any depression from not being able to do what he loved anymore, he would say,
"No, man. I love what I'm doing now. I know I can't compete again, but I can help out any new trainees out if they ever have a question or need some advice."
Tommy's enthusiasm was praised by not just his younger brother, but his family as a whole.
One day, after living in Newark for a long time, Tommy, Daniel, and their mother move to Reseda, California, where Daniel and Tommy meet a couple friendly people before running into a group of boys from the dojo Cobra Kai.
Each time they bump into them, Daniel insists on fighting, and Tommy, growing and being mature, permanently retired from karate, has advised his brother to not bother with them since attention was what they always wanted, but Daniel doesn't listen and proceeds to fight anyway, leaving Tommy in disdain for his brother's stubbornness.
One day, the two brothers meet Mr. Miyagi, a janitor for the hotel, who agrees to help Daniel learn the right way of karate, while Tommy gives advice on how certain moves should be done.
However, when Daniel is entered into a karate tournament and is required some assistance from his older brother and Mr. Miyagi. Tommy accepts his brother's offer and assists Miyagi, remaining loyal to him and helping him every chance he gets, but when the tournament finally comes around, does Daniel succeed?
