Chapter 8

"[Name]!? Budo!?"

Inside the room, [Name] and Budo were met with the familiar faces of Umeji and his group of delinquents, Kaga, Ayano and Taro Yamada. The delinquents, Taro and Kaga stared at [Name] and Budo, while Ayano was looking at Taro lovingly with literal hearts floating around her in the background.

"Hello people! I'm sure you're really confused right now, but just know that you are safe and will be returned back to your own houses or maybe Akademi shortly." Alastor said.

"Who are you guys!?" Kaga shouted.

"People who can return you @sses safely back home." Alastor said with a smile. "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go somewhere. Lilith and Karina, you guys tag along." He motioned to Lilith and Karina while walking away.

"Uh... so... Any ideas on what to do while we wait?" [Name] broke the silence.

"I don't know, maybe play some games? Read a book? Chat?" Taro suggested. "Yeah! Let's play some games! What do y'all want to play?"

"[Name]?" Budo put his hand on [Name]'s shoulder. "Yes?" [Name] turned around to face him. "What is happening?" Budo spoke the question everybody had in mind.

"W-what do you mean?" [Name] averted her gaze from Budo's eyes. "I'm just as confused as you are y'know?"

"No, I'm almost certain that you know something about this. It's just like last time when we got randomly teleported into that empty room! I told everyone already." Umeji spoke up.

"How can you just assume I know what is happening!? I told you! I'm just as confused as you are!" [Name] tried her best to keep her calm.

"Instincts, something tells me you're telling the truth, but not the complete truth. You may be confused, but you know something that we don't, am I right?" Kaga looked at [Name] suspiciously.

"Now guys, maybe we should all calm down a little! The tense atmosphere is honestly making me kind of uncomfortable. " Taro tried to rescue [Name] from the awkward scene.

"Yes, I agree." Ayano agreed with Taro, still not turning her gaze away from her senpai. She probably almost goes with anything Taro says just to improve her reputation in Taro's mind.

"Who are you to-" before one of the delinquents- Gaku, could rebut, Budo announced "OKAY! I think that's enough interrogation for now, as I can see It's making [Name] nervous, maybe we can relax a bit first, and when the people who brought us here come back, we'll ask them the details of what's happening. "

Surprisingly, everybody listened, and no one made a single sound after that. All that can be heard were the rolling of carts, buzzing of machines and footsteps of people walking by outside the room.

Everyone sat quietly on the huge, comfy sofa in the guest room, and patiently waited.

"Hi! I'm back!"

"Karina? Where's Alastor and Lilith?" [Name] asked upon seeing the cute redhead. "They're still chatting with the manager about some issues. But the good thing is that you guys can go back now."

"WHAT. IS. HAPPENING????" Umeji hollered. "You can't just bring us here without a warning and then kick us back! I DEMAND AN EXPLANATION!"

"Yes, an explanation would be better for both of us." Budo commented, and the rest agreed.

[Name] was worried for a second, but felt relieved when Karina immediately came up with an excuse.

"Me and the people you saw earlier are [Name]'s friends. We're scientists and we're trying to invent a machine that can teleport people to different places of long distances in a short time. [Name] agreed to help us by allowing us to teleport her around at times, but the teleporting machine we invented seemed to have some problems.
