Not even Nicholas who seemed irritated at the sight of a rare Amelia-Cedric interaction.

The lot returned to The Leaky Cauldron for a chat over butterbeer in Amelia's room. They were seventeen (Nicholas was still sixteen) year-olds in a pub, they thought it was better to order room service. Turns out, August, Philip, and Nicholas were at The World Cup. Nicholas and August, both Quidditch lovers, filled her in over how spectacular and thrilling the game was. Philip, on the other hand was only there for attendance, his entire family were avid fans of Quidditch and his parents had secured tickets months before (they included him, to his dismay. "It was a waste of money. I didn't enjoy one bit." Though Amelia supposed money wasn't an issue.) According to Nicholas (again) Ireland won but the Bulgarian Seeker, Victor Krum, caught the Snitch. There also happened to be veelas, Amelia asked what veelas was and Nicholas told her they are extremely beautiful women. August rolled her eyes at this.

"More like extremely dangerous women, if you ask me," August scoffed.

Nicholas grinned and crossed his shoulders. "You're just jealous, if you ask me."

August glared at him. "Why in the bloody hell would I be jealous?"

"Because you hate it when someone is prettier than you," Nicholas kept his boyish grin. "You just can't stand it."

It was true. August Santiago was extremely pretty. She had her fair share of admirers and it wasn't a wonder why. Her face was perfectly symmetrical, not a single speck of blemishes. Her skin, a natural tan, was flawless and healthy looking. Her eyes were plain black, lips naturally pink, and a dimple on her cheek. She was always tidy and for some reasons, August never sweat. No dark under eyes, even when she stayed up late for consecutive days to complete her wad of homework and essays. There was no such thing as perfection but August Santiago exists and maybe there is. Because she was used to being the center of attention all the time, she gets a little bit irritated when someone else other than her is under the spotlight—even though August refused to acknowledge these narcissistic tendencies.

"Please," August defensively scoffed. "I am never jealous."

She was and she refused to talk to Nicholas for the rest of the night. She would turn to Philip and talk to him instead, which was a painful scene to see considering August and Philip were the exact opposite of each other. Despite being ignored, Nicholas was enjoying the August and Philip conversation too much to care about being shrugged off. After a pint of butterbeers, hard rock cauldron cakes and an excruciatingly conversation about spoons, the three of them left not long after, they had to be back home to get a night's rest. Amelia remained awake until Daisy arrived at her window, pecking at the glass window. She gave Daisy a pat on the head and carried her to her cage where a fresh bowl of water was waiting for her. Daisy hooted lovingly. Amelia slept well knowing will be returning to Hogwarts tomorrow.
