"Oh my god." I squealed, quickly opening the door in front of me before shutting it directly after. Everything around me went quiet for a moment except the muffled sounds of pouring rain and wind outside still clearly noticeable.
It was freezing cold with even a few snowflakes falling from the sky.

A shiver ran down my spine, my clothes and hair completely soaked and dripping wet from running from the bus station to this apartment complex.
It wasn't just any apartment complex, rather one I was quite familiar with since I almost spend more time visiting my friend that lived here than spending time in my own four walls.

What can I say? I liked company and especially his to be specific.

I didn't really plan on visiting him today but since I just got off of uni and missed my bus by a few seconds, including the shitty weather outside, I considered this the best solution.
If he wasn't out doing other things.
I clearly hoped so, otherwise I would've to wait in the stairwell. Not the idea I preferred the most at the moment.

Almost slipping on my way up the stairs, I finally took the last few steps turning to my left once before facing his front door.

I pressed the bell once, suddenly growing a little nervous. Though I knew him for quite a long time and we watched each other somehow grow up, my feelings for him also changed over the few years of getting to know him.
Not that we didn't see each other more than once a week but there always was some form of tension. At least in my eyes. So fleeing to his place without having made plans somehow let my palms grow sweaty.
Was this the right idea? Maybe I should have just called another friend to pick me up.

But considering the option of turning around seemed already too late as I heard footsteps in the hallway before the door opened in one swift motion.

"Y/n?" The brunette in front of me asked giving me a confused look. "Hey. What are you doing here?" He asked before his eyes went wide as if he remembered something important he had forgotten about.
"Oh no, don't tell me we made plans and I forgot."

"Hey, Pablo." I smiled shyly at him rubbing my hands together to create some sort of warmth.
Turns out walking through pouring rain during winter was a good way of cooling you down.

"No, no, we didn't and I'm sorry to disturb you but I didn't know where else to go since I missed my bus and the weather isn't exactly dreamy." I answered pointing to one of the windows down the hallway. "Could I maybe stay till the rain stops?" I ask.
"Oh, of course. Don't worry about it it's fine and please come in, you're soaking wet." He stepped aside making room for me to get in.

I quickly made my way inside immediately feeling bad to ruin his floor with my dripping clothes. As if he sensed my discomfort he closed the door smiling at me.
"Don't worry about it, now we have to focus on warming you up again." He said disappearing into the second door on the left, his bedroom.

I stood there for a few seconds not knowing what to do next but I didn't have to think about that any longer as Pablo returned, a pile of fresh clothes in his hands.

"Okay, here are fresh clothes for you and I'm going to get you some towels too, so you can change." Pablo said as he walked by me again, disappearing into the bathroom this time.

"Come on in." He called for me a few moments later as I still stood there in the hallway. I quickly untied my shoes passing them onto the floor mat right in front of the door before making my way to the bathroom.

Pablo smiled at me as I walked in. "Here are the clothes and right there are the towels." He pointed at the items slowly walking towards the door.
"Thank you." I said smiling back at him.

"Of course and if you need anything else just call me. I'll be in my room." And with that he closed the door leaving me to change out of my clothes which were doing the opposite of keeping me warm.

Finally getting rid of them and drying myself with the towels, I put them in the bathtub before quickly putting on Pablo's clothes.
The material of his hoodie was extremely soft and it smelled exactly like him, which made me feel giddy inside.

I turned off the lights, walking down the hallway before coming to a stop in front of Pablo's room. Nervousness gripped my body again at least making me warm up a bit, though it wasn't about to help me facing the boy I've secretly had a crush on for months now.

I still stood in front of his room doing nothing than to listen for a moment but only the sound of heavy raindrops outside could be heard. Deciding I took enough time I knocked three times not waiting for an answer before entering his room.

"Hey there." I smiled at the boy sitting on his bed, phone in one hand. He shut it off, all of his attention on me as I sat on the other side of his bed.
"You feeling better?" He asked shifting on his bed to make more room for me.

"Definitely, I can't thank you enough." I smiled as my nerves also seemed to calm down a little bit.
"No need to thank me, so you want something to drink? Tea? Hot chocolate? ... "

"Water's just fine." I say shooting him another smile as he stood up. "I'll be right back, make yourself comfortable. It seems as though you need to stay longer than intended because the rain isn't supposed to stop anytime soon."

With that he leaves me alone in his room. I take one of the nearest blankets wrapping it around my shoulders goosebumps still evident in my skin.

"There you go." Pablo returns with a glass of water, closing the door behind him before handing me the water.
"Thanks." I mumble taking a few sips before setting it on the nightstand next to his bed.

"Do you want to watch something?" He asks turning on multiple small lamps then shutting off the big light. "Yeah, sure." I answer properly laying down on his bed as he joins me.

"Do you have everything you need?" He turns his gaze towards me as we're comfortably sitting on his bed.
"Yes, everything's perfect Pablo, thank you." I answer lightly patting his shoulder making him let out a laugh that gets straight to my heart.
"Just tell me if there's anything I can do for you." He nudges me with his shoulder making me smile even wider than before.
"I will."

I rest my head on his shoulder my heart picking up its speed whilst doing so. His body stiffens a little as he's still searching for something to watch but that changes as soon as he decides on some random movie and finally rests his head on top of mine.

My heart beat quickens again but only for a few seconds a feeling of safety replacing all of my nerves.
A feeling so safe that a wave of sleepiness overcomes me in a matter of minutes.

"Tired?" Pablo's voice whispers into my ear. "Only a little bit..." I mumble back, my head remaining on his shoulder as it was oddly comfortable.
He chuckles making me feel even more at peace.

"Sweet dreams."

Are the last words I hear before slowly but surely drifting off.

Hey guyss, I know it's been a very long time since I last updated this book but honestly it was a break I really, really needed.
I'm still shocked on how much attention my stories have gained and just want to add a quick thank you to everyone who reads and supports this book in any way.

I don't know how often I will update in the future but I don't want to update because I feel pressured to but because I want to.

I hope you have a great day.
