The Girl He Never Noticed

Chapter 1

"Emily, are you hearing what I'm saying?'' I asked my best friend who was just casually staring into space not listening to a word I'm saying.
Jerk
"Yes?" She said more like a question and less like a statement. I rolled my eyes and smacked her playfully on her arm. "Ow!" she screamed rubbing her fresh bruise. I laughed at her silliness and started strolling to my last class for the day. Until I bumped into a hard wall.
Then and there I realised it wasn't a wall, it was a damn person.
I was staring into the eyes of Jake Ryan.
                  I froze
I just sat there on my ass until he smirked and snapped me out of my daydream. "Errrr...... Ummmmm. sorry," was all that managed to come out. "Next time watch where you're going," he spat. I rolled my eyes, scoffed at his mean comment and  walked to my class. As Mr. Hunt, my literature teacher, opened the door he handed me a slip. A detention slip.
Great
Since I was not yet in the classroom he slammed the door in my face.
How rude
After the bell rang and dismissal was over I went to the room I was to be sitting detention in. I took a seat near the window so I wouldn't be too hot, by the time everyone was settled it was a large number of students. The scents of mouly arms filled the air.
How refreshing
I was surprised when I saw Jake Ryan in detention, well... not that much. But I was surprised to the fact that he sat beside me, probably because it was the only seat left.
How unfortunate
Meet Jake Ryan, officially, Mitchelson High's 'bad boy.' He has the hottest girls, I mean whores. To be honest I wasn't sure what they see in him. He was just another pretty face to me. I was not denying that he was cute, O.K. fine... He's hot. I just don't see myself falling for a guy like him.
"Hey," he said distracting me from my daydream. "What do you want?" I asked coldly. 'What crawled up your ass?" He snapped. "Spiders," I said sarcastically. All he did was smirk."A couple of us are going to M&B, do you want to come.
M&B is an ice-cream parlour, where all the "cool kids" hang.
"Well, I don't usually get in trouble so, no thank you." I said in confidence, "Daddy's girl, I get it," he said snottily. I knew I would regret this later but I said it anyway. "Fine, I'll come but you're paying." I said accepting his challenge. While walking out the door I said, "I'm not a daddy's girl, I do bad things all the time," I winked and walked away.

"What's that suppose to mean?" He asked. "That's for me to know and you to find out," I said, "Well, let me into your pants and I'm sure to find out," he said with a wink. "Do you guys need some alone time?" Jason, Jakes' s friend, who was also in detention, asked. "No," I replied as quickly as possible, "Yes," Jake said at the same time as I did. "Jake, brunie over here prefers guys with class," Jason said as he slung his arm over my shoulder. I tried to shrug it off but he didn't take it off.
Take a hint
"What do you want babe?" Jason asked casually as we walked into B&M. "I'm not your babe, Jason" replying to his question, "chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, thanks," I added. I just stood outside waiting for them to come outside. "Hey blondie," some guy came up to me who looked pretty familiar, so I'm guessing he was also in detention. "Ummm... do I know you?" I asked trying to sound polite. "Ouch, blondie," he said with his hand on his heart. "My name isn't blondie, 'guy I don't know." I said leaning on the wall. "Umm guys.. we need to hurry up," Jason came out saying. "Where' s my ice-cream?" I asked Jake, who was empty handed. "Uh.. It disappeared?" he said more in a question than a statement, "Are you kidding me!" I shouted. "O.K. fine I ate it," he finally confessed. I scoffed and started walking back to school. Since it wasn't a long walk we arrived back at school in five minutes. I walked into the classroom looking straight in the eyes of the new principal, Mrs. Whyte's.
