Ahulia, Way To Freedom - BOOK 1

Chapter 1: First Steps to Freedom.

-"Where is he ?!"

-"Oh, my dear son. How could he disappear ?"

A family of elves and humanoid lizards worries, running and panicking in a mansion, showing that these people are pretty rich. They are looking for someone who seems to be their only kid. They have been doing that for the whole morning, indeed their son disappeared during the morning, while everyone was busy working. One of them, who seems to be the father of the one they are all looking for, decides to steps outside of the house, announcing :

-"I'm going to warn the authorities ! They'll find him back !"

Right after saying that, the humanoid lizard is already outside of the house, everything is way more noisy than inside the mansion, which was already pretty loud and animated. The humanoid lizard looks around to find the quickest way to the city centre but the only thing he can see for now is a lot of people, mainly elves, walking around. Some are on their way to work and others are just spending their free time outside of their home. Despite the street being full of people, he still manages to circulate freely.

The streets the lizard is walking on are the streets of Ahulia, the capital of a kingdom named Ahulia as well. The story behind that name is pretty short, it is said that the creator of the land first named only a point to build a city on it but got scolded afterwards for not naming an entire country so they just decided to keep the same name as the first city created, out of laziness.

While his father went outside to warn the authorities, his son, named Symone, is wandering in the city, he is exploring it for the first time ever. Symone never went outside of the family's house, he is in fact forbidden to do such a thing because of the danger the outside represents for the young adult. Symone escaped from the family's house because he wanted to see the world from a young age, so after studying the kingdom's geography for a bit he decided to start his journey to Golden Hook. A pirate city. Symone knows that it is a pirate city, he first chose it because he always wanted to try being a pirate, to be free and go on adventures, then because the city is pretty far from the capital.

Symone is now in the city's big open-air market located in the very centre of the capital. The young adult takes some time to curiously observe every one of the stalls in this market. By the way, he still doesn't know that his whole family, and even more, is actively looking for him, Symone had no thoughts about them when leaving the house during the morning.

After trying some free samples on some of the stalls, going from food to perfumes and even colouring powders. Then he arrives at a stand and reaches his hand in order to try out one of the products, but the merchant suddenly yells at him, slapping his hand :

-"What are you doing ?! If you touch it, you buy it ! That's how it is here !" She exclaims.

The young man flinches then he immediately takes out his hand from the stall. He takes his hand out not because he lacks money, but more out of fear, he is not used to getting yelled at, especially by some strangers. Symone walks back, almost bumping into more than one person, then he continues his way, walking straight on the path, still observing the stalls but this time his hands are glued to his body so he doesn't touch things anymore, kind of scared to be scolded once more.

While Symone is on his adventure all alone, his father did just warn the authorities, it didn't take that long. The authorities laughed a bit after hearing that the lizard's 21 year old kid disappeared from the house, they took the case more seriously seeing that this humanoid lizard has a lot of money. Symone's father has now reached the market the young man is actually in. Symone is really recognisable from afar, indeed his hair is long and is a light golden colour, his skin is light green, almost the same as a lizard's, because he is logically half a lizard. Those reptiles are historically not really well welcomed in this city, not forgetting that Symone has a lizard tail as well, which really does not help him to be discreet. So he is in constant danger in this city in addition to being searched by his entire family and the authorities, but he does not really know it. And for now, no one had a negative reaction towards him, people were just amazed to see a young man with such beautiful hair and face.
