Mission XI; hey

"Hey," (Y/n) said timidly to Taehyung.

Taehyung turned around, his expression brightening up. "Oh, hi (Y/n)! What can I help you with?" he asked, genuinely curious.

(Y/n) took a deep breath, trying to summon the courage to speak. "I... I like you!" She finally managed to blurt out, her voice slightly louder than intended.

The words hung in the air, her shy admission filling the space between them. A faint blush colored (Y/n)'s cheeks as she anxiously awaited Taehyung's response.

Taehyung's eyes widened briefly, his surprise evident. He blinked a couple of times before a warm smile spread across his face. The corners of his lips curled up, crinkling his eyes in a way that made (Y/n) feel like melting on the spot.

"Really?" Taehyung replied, his voice gentle and filled with an endearing curiosity. "(Y/n), I... I like you too. I've actually been wanting to tell you for a while now."

(Y/n)'s heart skipped a beat, a mixture of relief and excitement flooding through them. She couldn't believe her ears. Taehyung liked her back!

"I've just been... too afraid to say anything," Taehyung continued, his gaze never leaving (Y/n). "I thought you might not feel the same way, and I didn't want to ruin our friendship."

(Y/n) couldn't help but let out a nervous giggle. "I'm so glad I finally found the courage to tell you. I was afraid you'd never know."

Taehyung stepped closer, closing the gap between them. His hand reached out, gently cupping (Y/n)'s cheek, her skin tingling at the contact.

"I promise, (Y/n), that I'll cherish this newfound connection we have," Taehyung whispered, his voice brimming with sincerity. "I'll be right here, supporting you and loving you every step of the way."

(Y/n) felt a surge of warmth rush through her body, her worries and insecurities slowly dissipating. In that moment, as Taehyung's hand held theirs, (Y/n) knew that her confession had been worth it.

With a shy smile of her own, (Y/n) leaned in, closing the remaining distance between them. Their lips met in a gentle, sweet kiss, sealing their newfound love and marking the beginning of an incredible journey together.
