☂︎ THIRD PERSON POV ☂︎
Serafina's fingers trailed along the wall of Five's room, a sigh escaping her lips as she sat down on the edge of his bed. The room was covered in a thin layer of dust, reminding her of how long it had been since anyone inhabited the room.
Granted, that could be said for all of the rooms.
She let herself fall back against the mattress, her head hitting the wall. Cursing under her breath, she readjusted herself and closed her eyes.
"Ah, there you are!" Klaus exclaimed, walking into the room.
"Here I am," Serafina replied, opening her eyes as she propped herself up on her elbows.
"What are you doing in here?" Klaus asked, sitting down beside her. "Thought you'd want to be anywhere but this dirty old room."
Serafina sighed. "I just... needed a minute."
Klaus nodded, choosing to not say another word.
Serafina's eyes caught the bracelet around his wrist, her gaze softening. "Sorry, I couldn't visit you in rehab."
"Eh, don't worry about it." He waved her off. "I made some great friends there so the company was, you know, tolerable. Anyway, what's been going on in your world? Anything exciting?" He asked, smiling at her.
"Not really. Everything kinda just became too boring without you there by my side." Serafina smiled up at him.
He smiled back. "Well, I could've told you that." Klaus's eyes suddenly widened. "Oh, yeah! I was going through the old man's stuff and found this."
He rifled through his coat pocket.
"Figured you might've wanted it back."
Serafina opened her hand, allowing Klaus to drop the object into her palm. It was a bracelet, a small woven bracelet made out of a variety of different colored threads. Reds, oranges, and yellows twisted together to make the appearance of fire.
Of course, the colors were dull now and the bracelet would probably be too tight around her wrist but Serafina cherished it as much as she did when it had been gifted to her. "Thanks."
"Hey," Diego knocked on the doorframe, "Big Boy wants us downstairs."
Klaus jumped off the bed, extending a hand to Serafina. She grabbed onto it, allowing him to pull her up before leading the two down the stairs.
There, they met with the rest of their siblings.
Klaus walked over to the bar, Diego took a seat next to the fireplace, and Serafina sat on the couch next to Vanya. Twisting in her seat, she laid her body across the empty part of the couch, propping her legs up on the armrest as she laid her head on Vanya's lap.
No one said anything, the only sound being the crackling of the fire.
Klaus poured himself a drink.
"I guess we should get this started," Luther spoke. "So, I figured we could have a sort of memorial service in the courtyard at sundown. Say a few words, just at Dad's favorite spot."
