The pale dark haired girl was walking aimlessly around the graveyard when she heard a soft cry. She curiously walked over to the direction of the noise and noticed a man with dark brown hair and a green jacket.

He was crying over a grave with roses bunched in his palms, his hand bleeding over the grave. She was concerned but was treading lightly. She slowly walked up behind him with fear controlling her heart beat. She tapped on his shoulder and he turned around aggressively and grabbed her wrist. She shrieked and tried to pull her arm back.

He looked at her with anger and dried tears against his skin, his other hand bloodied still holding the roses.

"Why are you spying on me, stranger?" He yelled angrily. "is watching me cry over my sister's grave so entertaining to you?!" He demanded an answer. You could see the anguish on his face.

"I-I- I'm so sorry sir.. I just heard you and came to see what was wrong.." she was distraught and was hoping the truth would ease him.

He stared at her in confusion. "You... You were worried about me?" He had never been cared about before. No one ever bothered to even look his way when he'd cry or scream. They always treated him like he was never there.

"Well yeah.. and I'm still worried now. Your bleeding. I have some bandages in my car if you want me to help you." She offered sincerely.

He looked as though he was caught in-between two things. But eventually he gave in and dropped the flowers while nodding. She lead him over to her old black Toyota and grabbed her first aid kit.

She gestured for him to sit in the car so she could tend to his wounds. While getting the alcohol wipes and bandages and ointment out she asked him "so what happened? Were you just so caught up in your pain that you didn't realize you had hurt yourself?"

He looked at her and seemed to hesitate on answering. He sighed "yeah that's pretty much it. I um. I didn't really care about her much before. But losing her was like losing a part of myself for some reason." He laughed at the idea but his pain was showing in his features as he watched her finish the bandaging.

She put her supplies away and softly grabbed his unhurt hand. "Just remember that whatever your relationship was like or however u were to eachother. That it's all in the past. What's done is done. You can't try to have a better relationship with her but u can with other people. Make it up to her by being close with people who deserve it too." She smiled at him looking deep into his deep blue eyes.

He smiles at her "that's really great advice, miss no name."

"I'm Aradia forbes, And you are?" She smiled at him

"It's lovely to meet you darling Aradia, I'm Kai Parker." They shake each other's hands.

"Did you need a ride back home?" She asked In hopes of maybe spending more time together.

"Actually at the moment I don't have a home. I was thinking of staying over at the Airbnb at the Salvatore mansion."

She looked up at him "well I'm actually close friends with the Salvatores so I could take you there and maybe get you a discount?"

"Yeah that sounds lovely darling." He jumps into the truck and they head down to the Salvatore mansion. He plays nirvana while they drive over there, using his fingers to drum along to the tune. He keeps looking at her like he's drawn to her.

The eye contact is cut off by their arrival to the Salvatore mansion. She knocks on the door and Elena greets her with a hug. "Oh my god Aradia it's been like a month since I've seen you. How have you been? Who's this?"

"Elena this is Kai Parker and he would like a room to stay for a little while. I've been fine I've just been practicing and studying." She smiles at her after breaking the hug. Elena steps back to let them inside and sets up kai's information to stay. "And heres your key. Im Elena Salvatore by the way, so if you need anything just ask me." He nods, grabs the key, and heads off upstairs towards his room.
