A woman stood up from beside the headmaster, she wasn't elderly but seemed of the older generation and she waved her hands, mumbling something and the tables filled with huge plates of food, chicken, rice, and pastries that some students never seen before. Glasses of juice and water and some strange liquid that the students avoided, the clashing of cutlery and small talk filled the ears as everyone dug into the meal.

The young girls who ran into the hall late, were glancing at each other nervously, one more than the other. The blue haired girl that Headmaster Alastor knew way to well. His daughter. Jinx Tempest, a cruor. He watched her as he sipped his glass, listening in to the children's conversations as she laughed with her table. Her hair was a dyed a sea blue, with dark roots showing through, her school uniform messily around her as if it were a weak suggestion and the sunglasses, she insisted on wearing inside. Everyone knew, now she had finally reached the age of joining the school, the years to come were not to be peaceful, especial how she's already made friends not minutes in.

All thoughts were gone as there was loud growling from the Luane table. Two boys arguing over some food, snarling, and baring fangs at each other.

"Boys! I am more than certain that that Professor Maga made enough food for everyone." Alastor spoke, his eyes darkening on the boys, one in particular.

A red headed boy who was preparing his claws from his nails,

"He stole it from my friend!" This boy growled back, not standing down his guard.

"We do not steal food, now settle down and give yourself a separate piece, or you can find yourself at the Venefica table with their vegetables."

The boy was glaring as he sat back down, one of his mates patting his shoulder in support as he picked up his fork. The red head had relaxed but not before a boy, no older than a third year yelled over an insult, causing Jinx to laugh aloud and make a remark. Odin shot up, glaring back over to the Cruor table, his eyes on Jinx and his fangs bared front,"You want to die again, Zombie?"

Alastor silently groaned, knowing this would not end well.

"Why don't you be a good doggy and sit back down, might get you a treat." The tables roared with laughter as Odin gotten redder, now he was not a small kid, not at all, tall and athletic, the schools best soccer defence and yet his table mates still tried to hold him back as he threw himself over the tables to get to Jinx, who sat unbothered.

Once he had reached over the table, he began to sprint at the girl who within a flash was behind two much older vampires, who had come to her defence and grabbed Odin, shoving him harshly, hissing and baring their fangs. Chants from the table, urging for a fight, as they watched this chaos unfold. Alastor stood up abruptly and yelled, the voice boomed of the walls echoing, "ENOUGH!".
It felt like time froze, Odin pulling himself out their hands choosing not to mess with the professor. "Let go of Mr. Griffith and return to your tables this instant." The boys did as they were told, Odin returning to his table,

"Anymore issues and I will be cancelling all sporting events this year" and just as expected, groans from Lunae table were heard yet not as loud as the Cruor tabled with roared up in protests only to be silenced by a hand that Alastor put into the air.

The headmaster sat back down and everyone continued with their dinner, everyone now a little more energetic. Jinx turned around to the brunette girl she had previously walked in with and smiled.
"You having fun yet?"

Terra returned with a thumbs up, terror in her eyes. Jinx just grinned more high-fiving the boy beside her laughing as they continued with their conversations.

On the other side of the hall, Odin had started to approached the head table where the proffessors all sat conversing.
"Headmaster.. sir?" he said, his hands fidgeting behind his back. "Could I be excuse early?", he had asked, pleadful eyes.

"I suppose so Griffith.. however, no funny business, you understand?" And he nodded, very quickly, turning on his heels and walking out, passing between Jinx and Terra and he muttered something.

The issue with running a school full of supernatural children is the stereotypical behavior. Werewolf and Vampires are sworn enemies, never to agree on anything, never to glance in the others direction and yet they just kept provoking one another.

Odin continued to walk, his eyes glaring at Jinx as she looked back. "Stulti", he said. Looking at the Cruor table.

Soon the plates began to clear, the tables becoming more emptier and the children unable to keep still in their seats, restless and excitement.

"If you have finished your meal and wish to leave, you may. First years please report to the grand staircase in 10 minutes for your prefects tour to your dorms. Thank you, and have a good evening everyone!"

Everyone's eyes on Alastor as he tapped the side of his glass with his spoon and quickly, students were rushing out, laughing and shoving each other, urgent to go and do wild child things.

Jinx jumped from her seat and sped to the empty one next to Terra and grinned.

"How did that dog get to leave before we do? So unfair."

She spoke sarcastically, as she looked at the brunette girl, her hair was like chocolate, silk and soft, though Jinx couldn't imagine it would taste the same, her skin was pale and freckles with a scar just above her eye brow that had Jinx's eyes dictated upon.

"What is with you two fighting?" Terra asked more concerned, but Jinx sighed and patted Terras shoulder.
"You really don't know supernatural beings witchy. Wolves and vampires have never gotten along. Not in hundreds of years."

She picked up a fork from the table, digging it into the wood as she listened to Terra.

"Are you sure you don't like him?" The singsong voice of the venefica girl spoke with a huge smile on her face as she shoved Jinx with her shoulder softly, Jinx lifted her head and scrunched her face in disgust. "Never"

"Oh come on, he was cute" said Terra her cheeks slightly flushed and Jinx remained repulsed.

"Now I'm starting to think you like him" she accused, raising an eye brow in suspicion, Terra quick to defense. "What?! No!"

Jinx half chuckle filled the air as she removed her sun glasses, her pupils dilating as she spoke looking into Terra's eyes.

"Tell me the truth, do you like him?"
The small brunettes confession came quick, with a nod and rosy cheeks that she hid behind her hands. Jinx laughed and looked at Terra's confused face,

"How-how did you do that?" Terra questioned, and just before Jinx could say anything, Alastor appeared behind them.

"Compulsion.. it's a gift given to vampires. Though I am sure we're not meant to use it on our newly made friends" he spoke, looking at Jinx who looked back up at him.

"You know I don't say the word" Inc stated, crossing her arms.
"the word or you refuse to apologize ever"
And she just shrugged, Terra turning to Alastor.

"I'm never going to get used to this, am I?" Her eyes were full of doubt as she pulled the hem of her sleeve.

"Not everyone gets it's first time but it's good to be aware Miss. Lykaios"

Alastor spoke and ushered them along to the stair case. Jinx held Terra's hand, tightly "hold on!" She said giving Terra no time to process and she vampire sped out of the hall.
