I don't remember.
All I can see is his blurry silhouette. The cold water rushed over my face as my body hit countless rocks and debris. My eyes stung as they followed his body. He was walking away, leaving me here to die. I couldn't move, couldn't breathe. I was helpless and he was leaving me. I wanted to call his name but I couldn't remember, I wanted to ask him why but I couldn't remember. Then the water around me slowly turned red and that's when it clicked.
I'm starting to remember.
I remember the sharp, hot pain in my abdomen. I remember the threats and screams. I remember him pushing me, stabbing me. I could hear the thunder as the raging river carried me to nowhere, shortly after I saw lightning and suddenly-
I remember everything.

I stared down at the dismantled rope then at my wrists. They were bleeding badly. He tied me up to a chair and to escape I had to continuously twist my wrist through the rope. It took me almost an hour to do that and 30 more minutes to get my legs undone. I didn't know when he'd be back but I wasn't going to waste time. I grabbed the chair I was tied to and put it against the wall, right under a small, rectangular window. The room was mostly empty except for a stool in the corner. I ran over to the corner and picked up the stool, throwing it on the ground repeatedly until it broke. I picked up one of the broken legs to the stool and went back to the window. I stood on the chair and pulled my shirt over my face before hitting the window repeatedly. Over and over again, I didn't stop, even when I could feel the blood pouring down my arms and soaking into my shirt. Even when I felt dizzy and knew I needed a break.
A break could cost me my life, so I kept going. I kept going until the window broke. I flinched at the sound of the glass shattering. I could feel the pieces falling into my hair and bouncing off my shirt. I used my sleeve to push glass out of the way before climbing through the opening. It was barely big enough for me to fit through so I knew he'd have a hard time. Right when I climbed out and into the darkness I ran straight to the trees. The adrenaline kept my legs pumping but in reality they were burning. It hurts to breathe. My lungs were burning as I dodged branches and ran by trees. I was looking for the road, light, something.
As I kept running I heard something behind me. My immediate thoughts were that he caught up with me, impossible. I slowed down enough to turn just around but when I did, no one was there. When I turned around to keep running I ran into something, some big and it didn't feel like a tree.
Suddenly, I felt heat soar through me. My hands immediately went to my stomach where they met another pair of hands. Slowly I lifted my head and came face to face with the devil himself.Kade.
"No.." I choked out, stumbling back. Thunder cracked as the rain started to pour.
The feeling of his knife sliding out of me made me wanna throw up.
"What? Surprised to see me?" He laughed, following me, mocking me.
I stumbled away, as fast as I could. Through a few more trees and then came a clif. Rain fell hard and thunder made an appearance. My hair stuck to my face as blood trickled down my hands. I turned to him, now walking backwards. Each step I took my chances got slimmer. I either jump down the cliff behind me or face him. I looked below me into the river below, watching the deadly waters clash with the sharp rocks. Each choice led to death.
"You think I'm stupid!?" He roared, catching my attention.
"What..?" I mumbled. I felt as if my lungs were closing in on me.
"You thought I wouldn't catch you?" He waved the knife. "Hm?"
I responded with silence.
"Answer me!" He yelled.
"Your crazy.." I mumbled.
"Ha, crazy!? I loved you..but your an ungrateful bitch!"
"You cheated on me! Multiple times! Why the hell would I stay with you!?"
"I gave you the world! And I still can!" He reached his hand out to me, "Doesn't that sound nice? What do ya think?"
I took a deep breath before responding. "I think... you're fucking delusional if you think I'll ever love you!" I retorted, clutching my stomach in pain.
Suddenly he rushed towards me, gripping my hair and plunging the knife into me again. I gasped, gripping his shirt.
"Shhh..." He cooed, rubbing his hand over my head.
I groaned in pain, my eyes filling with tears.
"You know the saying don't you? If I can't have you, no one can."
With that he picked me up, bridal style, and walked to the edge of the cliff.
"No..please.." I mumbled. My body wouldn't move no matter how hard I tried. I tried holding onto him or fighting but I couldn't. He held me over the edge before letting go. I let out a blood curdling scream as the wind blew through my hair, getting closer and closer to the bottom. Thunder boomed right before lighting cracked and that's when I hit the water. It was cold and the impact knocked the wind out of me. I didn't struggle or fight the waters as they pulled me away, throwing me into rocks and other debris. My lungs burned, aching for air but the only thing I could give them was water. I opened my mouth, taking a big breath. My body tensed as I coughed, causing me to take more involuntary breaths. My body and muscles then tensed, convulsing. My hands slowly fell from my stomach as bloody water clouded my vision. I was relaxed, at ease. I ignored the rocks that slammed into my body and the debris that made me wanna scream in pain. I knew it would all be over soon.
Death awaited but there was something I needed to know..
Why, how, who?
When I think about it I...
