I stood with my ear against the wall, listening to the strange couple talk about her being a mermaid!!! Now don't think I'm a creepy stalker or anything I'm just an average guy that was wandering around the house. I heard their conversation and got drawn to it. I could make out everything except their names. I decided to report this to the local newspaper.
I fed the adults the whole story! Believe it or not they ate it up. I guess they were starved for a good story to put on the news. There is now a reward of 1,000$ for anyone who can find/catch a mermaid and bring her to the public. I was also told they have already reserved a tank for her in the zoo. I know this sounds sick, but I'm sure she will be fine.
Back to Emily's P.O.V for a while
My ringtone started to play so i picked up my phone and saw the call was from Scott. I picked up. "Hello?" I said. "Emily I have just basically found a wanted poster for you! There is a 1,000$ reward!!" Scott screamed. I fell onto my bed and I felt sick. What would my parents say??!! Now they will find out I'm a mermaid! aaaaaaaahhhh "S-Scott come over now i need you." I mumbled "Sure thing babe." He said hanging up.
