The days turned into weeks, and Maeve remained unconscious. The kingdom we had fought so hard to save was slowly being rebuilt, this time under my rule. It was a united kingdom now, stronger and more prosperous than ever before. The legends of Darius, the noble king who had made the ultimate sacrifice to save the legendary princess, were whispered among the people, a testament to his bravery.
During those two long weeks, I hardly left Maeve's side. Her unconscious form lay on the ornate bed in our chamber, her chest rising and falling with the slow rhythm of sleep. The castle had been repaired, and life had returned to some semblance of normalcy, but without her, it felt incomplete.
I brushed a strand of her white hair away from her face, a small smile tugging at my lips. She looked so peaceful in slumber, her crimson eyes hidden beneath delicate lashes. I had come to realize that she was my anchor, my reason for everything.
The kingdom had accepted me as its queen, and the people respected and admired our love. Maeve and I had become a symbol of unity and strength, a testament to the power of love transcending all boundaries.
I leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead, whispering words of love and hope into the quiet room. I would wait as long as it took for her to awaken, to see those crimson eyes gazing back at me with warmth and recognition.
The world outside might have changed, but our love remained unwavering, a force that had conquered darkness and adversity. And as I sat by her side, I couldn't help but believe that our story was far from over, that together, we would face whatever challenges lay ahead, for our love was eternal.

Maeve's POV
As I slowly emerged from the depths of unconsciousness, a haze of disorientation clung to my mind. The world around me was shrouded in shadows, and my body felt heavy, as if I had been submerged in water for far too long. The faint sound of sobbing reached my ears, and I struggled to make sense of it.
My eyelids felt like lead, but I forced them open, blinking against the dim light. The first thing I saw was Alexandria, her face etched with exhaustion and streaked with tears. She sat at my bedside, her trembling hand clutching mine as she stared down at me.
My heart ached at the sight of her tears, and I attempted to speak, my voice little more than a croak. "Alexandria... what happened?"
Her eyes widened in surprise, and she released a choked sob, leaning down to press her lips to my forehead. "Maeve, you're awake," she whispered, her voice quivering with emotion. "Oh, my love, you're finally awake."
Confusion clouded my mind as I tried to piece together the fragments of my memory. I remembered the castle crumbling around me, the chaos and the storm of power that had consumed me. But beyond that, everything was a blur.
"I... I don't understand," I murmured, my throat parched and dry.
Alexandria's tears continued to fall as she gently brushed my hair away from my face. "You lost control," she explained, her voice trembling. "Your power, it grew beyond anything we could have imagined. You were unconscious for weeks."
A sense of dread settled in the pit of my stomach as I struggled to comprehend the magnitude of what she was saying. "I hurt you, didn't I?" I whispered, my heart sinking.
She nodded, her expression filled with a mix of relief and anguish. "Yes, my love. You didn't mean to, but your power was... overwhelming. You knocked me unconscious."
Guilt washed over me, and I reached out to touch her cheek, my fingers trembling. "I'm so sorry, Alexandria. I never wanted to hurt you."
She leaned into my touch, her eyes locking onto mine with a fierce intensity. "It wasn't your fault, Maeve. You had no control. All that matters is that you're awake now, and we're together."
