TW: Abuse. Don't read if you don't feel comfortable.
(I promise this chapter has a happier ending than the last two)
Saul stirred awake.
It was 8:00 AM, and it was Saturday. Finally.
As he put on his glasses and recollected his thoughts, he stared at his arms.
Having washed off every little glitter of red from his arms and legs the night before, all that remained was a large array of scars. They were a brown color, indicating that they were healing. Around each scar had to be at least six more, all of which seemed to leave a light red imprint in the place that they once existed.
He would do the same later, he thought.
He felt the cold morning air blow through his window, provoking him to retrieve a long-sleeve shirt from his closet, which he instantly slipped on.
After opening up the curtains guarding his window and letting the entire glassy shape be seen, he breathed in some fresh air slowly before breathing out.
He did the same a second time, feeling the cool air circumnavigate his lungs.
A third.
He then stepped away from the window and picked up his phone, which was positively flooded with texts.
All of them were from Aurora. She had sent him six consecutive texts, and he wasn't sure why.

Saul sent both those texts in response, not expecting to hear back from Aurora for a while. She almost instantly replied back.

What is it that you want
To talk to you. About yesterday.
I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have
acted like that.It's ok, Aurora
It's not your fault, I understandBut you don't.
Look...I used to have a really
abusive boyfriend. His name was Jack, he was a
total piece of shit. Made me
do a bunch of things that I
wasn't comfortable with, like
PDA. All the time, we'd kiss in
public, practically be making
love, that's how much PDA he
wanted to partake in. It was
really embarrassing...So you made me let go cause
of himYeah...
The only guy I fully trust right
now is Grant. I'm only talking
to you cause he gave me your
phone #.
