THE LADY BY THE SEASIDE

[Continuation of Part six]

𝘈n hour later, I told my mom that I would be right back, and my mom nodded and I left the house to go to the nearby market. I walked around quickly, trying to find the right gifts for both my mom and for Kairi. I didn't know what to get for Kairi, but I wanted to get something nice and meaningful. I wasn't sure how much she knew or didn't know about my feelings for her, and I had no idea what she would want. Eventually, I found something that I thought she might like, and I also found my mom's present. I quickly paid for everything and started to walk back home, feeling a bit nervous about what would happen next...

    I left the market and made my way to the sea, hoping that maybe I would find Kairi there. But the beach was empty and the sea was calm and quiet. I couldn't help but feel disappointed and a bit sad, and I wondered if Kairi would be coming to the New Year's Party later that night. I kept thinking about her and trying to remember if I had made any plans with her earlier. All I wanted was to see her again, and I felt more anxious now that it was almost time for the party.

    I decided to go home and try to hide the gifts from my mom because I wanted to surprise her later that night. I didn't want her to know about the gifts, so I took them and hid them in my room. I then went back downstairs and helped with the last minute preparations for the party, feeling excited and a bit nervous about seeing Kairi again. I would give her the gift then, and hopefully, she would like it. I couldn't wait for her to arrive...

    I waited in anticipation for Kairi to come during the party, feeling both happy and anxious at the same time. I was happy because I was going to see her again and I was looking forward to giving her the gift I had bought for her. I was also anxious because I didn't know what her reaction would be and if she would like the present I got her. I kept thinking about her and wondering if she hadn't been able to come for some reason... But just as the guests started to arrive for the party, the door opened and Kairi walked in.

    I got flustered on how beautiful she looked in her red dress. She was stunning and I couldn't help but feel a bit speechless when I saw her walk in. She looked absolutely gorgeous and I couldn't tear my eyes away from her as she walked towards me. Her dress was made with a shiny and elegant material, and her hair was perfectly tied and styled. She had a small accessory in her hair, and she was carrying a small handbag. She was breathtaking and she looked like a princess. My heart started beating quickly as she came closer to me....

    She looked over at me and smiled, and I felt my face turn red as I couldn't help but look at her. Her smile was so bright and her eyes were so sparkling, and I felt a bit embarrassed. But she walked closer to me and said, "Hi!" with a cheerful tone. I couldn't help but smile back and I replied, "Hi, Kairi." She then extended her hands towards me and we greeted each other with a hug. I felt a bit nervous but I also felt happy and excited to see her. We then broke the hug and she took a seat near me...

    I couldn't help but feel a bit shy but also excited. We both stayed silent for a moment, and when Kairi finally spoke, I felt myself getting even more flustered. "I have something for you" she said with a small smile, and I felt my heart racing. She then leaned closer to me, holding out a small box in her hands, and my cheeks turned bright red. I was getting so nervous but I also felt excited to see what was in the box...

    Kairi looked at me and said with a soft smile, "I have something for you." I looked down at the small box in her hand and wondered what was inside. I was getting so nervous and embarrassed at the same time, but I also felt excited to receive a gift from Kairi. I took the box and opened it carefully, revealing a beautiful necklace inside. The necklace was made of a shiny silver material and it was very beautiful. It had a little pendant with a rose flower and I realized it was a rose necklace! I looked at Kairi with surprise and gratitude, and I couldn't help but smile.
   
    I looked at Kairi with surprise and gratitude as I saw the rose necklace. "You really like it?" She asked me with a smile and I nodded, unable to speak. She then reached out to take the necklace out of my hands, and she put it around my neck. "It looks better on you..." She said with a smile, and I felt warm inside as I saw the necklace on me. I looked at Kairi and she was smiling from ear to ear as she looked at me. I felt happy and grateful for her gift, and I wanted to give her something to show my appreciation...

    I remembered the gift that I had bought for her, and I reached for it in my pocket. I pulled it out and handed it to her, hoping she would like it. It was a small pink box, and inside was a bracelet made of a shiny pink material and it had a small heart shaped charm attached to it. I looked at Kairi as she took the box and opened it, and I held my breath as I wondered if she would like it or not...

    I could feel my heart beating quickly as I watched Kairi take the box and open it. She took out the bracelet and examined it closely. She looked at me and smiled, "Thank you, Mizuki." She tried the bracelet on and I felt happy that she liked it. She had been wearing her bracelet and my rose necklace looked beautiful together. I felt glad that I had also given her a present that she liked. We stayed silent for a moment, and then Kairi leaned closer to me...

    Kairi smiled as she looked at me, and she reached out to touch my face. "Your cheeks are so warm and soft.." She whispered, and I felt her finger glide across my cheek. I was so nervous but I also felt a bit excited and happy, as she was so close to me now. I took a deep breath and tried to speak, but my voice was all mumbles and I just stared at her with a wide and embarrassed smile. I couldn't believe what was happening; I never thought I would be so close to her like this...
   
    I was frozen as I felt Kairi's sweet breath on my face, and I couldn't breathe or move. Suddenly, Kairi's lips touched my cheek and she gave me a peck on the cheek. I felt my face turn red and I was stunned for a moment, as I tried to process what had just happened. Kairi giggled and pulled back, looking at me with a wide and happy smile. I felt my cheeks getting even more red and I looked over at her. We were both blushing now, and I felt so lightheaded and dizzy...
