Chapter 15: I Won't Be the One Who Lets Go of You

Rei was not some kind of sex-crazed maniac. Really. She wasn't. But she was human, and she had a gorgeous girlfriend who she loved, and who, luckily, was also human. Very human. Even though she looked like an angel.

And this girl just happened to have her hands under Rei's pajama top and her mouth latched on to Rei's neck, and Rei, well, she was just losing control. She wasn't really sure where she was at the moment. Or what was happening. Or what her name was. Or why there was a dog sitting in the doorway watching them.

She was definitely not in the state of mind to find that appropriately creepy.

Rei only knew that it felt like she was about to burst into flames, and that Liz was grinning delightfully as she fondled one of Rei's breasts like a plaything.

Rei moaned, making Liz chuckle and kiss her again, and she ran a hand up and down Liz's back. God, was she on fire? She had to be on fire. There was just no other explanation.

"Liz, we-we have to...we have to stop." Rei managed to choke out. How she did so, she had no idea. She only had a sort of vague control of her body right now. She wasn't even doing much, just letting Liz explore because it was all new for her.

Liz was having the time of her life, apparently.

She thought back to what Yujin had said, about Liz probably having no idea what she was doing. And then she regretted that because now she was picturing Yujin. Who was probably right. Liz was clumsy, but oh so gleeful about loving on Rei.

Liz pouted and kissed Rei again before dropping her head onto Rei's heaving chest and staring up into brown eyes. Or black eyes, probably. Rei figured she probably looked like a demon right now.

"Why?" Liz asked, catching her breath.

Rei waited until she was sure she could speak in full sentences before responding. She noticed Cornelius sitting in the doorway. Perverted demon puppy.

"We're getting carried away. And I know you're not ready to..." Rei stopped herself before "go all the way" came out of her mouth. Hey, self-control, look at that.

"To what?" Liz asked obliviously, eyes bright, still draped on top of Rei, running her fingers along Rei's jaw.

Contentedly clueless.

"You're a virgin, right?" Rei asked gently.

Liz's eyes dropped to Rei's neck and her hand stilled. She nodded silently.

"Liz, look at me." Rei whispered.

She brushed tangled blonde hair out of Liz's eyes and smiled softly up at her. She waited until Liz met her eyes again.

"It's okay honey. We won't do anything we aren't ready for." Rei said quietly. Liz moved her head so her ear was pressed against Rei's chest.

"I love you, and you're just so..." Rei chuckled wryly. "We just had to stop."

She ran her hand through Liz's hair, and Liz took a deep breath, blowing warm air onto Rei's arm.

"Are you ready?" Liz asked hesitantly a moment later.

Wait, what? Right now?

Rei's eyes flitted around. She valiantly restrained herself from blurting out "hell yeah" and stayed quiet for a moment. She couldn't lie and say "no." Lying to Liz would be like...punching a puppy. Or something. And not a demon puppy like Cornelius.

Liz was still waiting for her response.

"Whenever you are." Rei said quietly, and honestly, tracing lightly up the back of Liz's neck. "Weeks, months, years. Whatever, big bear. I love you."
