The Church

"I told you to clear your case, not drag me to... Oi! What the hell are we doing here." I furrowed my eyebrows at him as I pointed at the church. "Why are we going in THERE?"

"That's my HQ." Geto answered.

"So the only place you found was the church of the Time Vessel Association?" I stuffed my hands in my pockets, staring at the church building. An eerie feeling hit me. Something in the back of my mind screamed at me, but I couldn't grasp what exactly. I brushed it off as one of my many anxious thoughts. I stopped in my tracks as Geto kept walking forward to the building. "Wait," I said as he looked back at me, waiting for my question. "Don't tell me you're the one who took over the Star Religious Group."

He smiled, putting his thumbs up. "Of course I did. I wasn't going to let it rot like that." And just like that he continued walking to the building. I was left astounded, mouth physically hung open. "I know you hate this place, so don't worry, we're going through the back." He led me through the backdoor. We took the stairs down to a room with a couch, table, and chairs. I sat down, trying to make myself comfortable after having to swallow Geto's new blunder. "First of all." He grabbed a glass of water. "I'm sorry for your loss."

I'd have been shocked in other circumstances, but considering my clan was well known at the Time Vessel Association, word probably spread around the church that Mother died.

"It's whatever." I shrugged it off. He looked intensely at me, waiting for me to continue more on the subject, except that I wasn't interested in diving down my emotions. "This is not why I'm here though." I said sternly. "What the hell have you been doing and why do you want me to help you? You're perfectly capable of handling things yourself. Only reason I came back was for the funeral."

"So it started when they kicked me out of Jujutsu High." Geto stated in a sort of shameful way as if I were his mother and he a kid about to get in trouble.

"They kicked you out?"

"Uh-huh."

Why?

"Because I have controversial political opinions."

"Me and you both. But that still seems a bit dramatic, no?"

"After Amanai's death.. and Haibara's.." He paused and looked at me. All of a sudden my throat felt dry and tight. "I questioned myself." He leaned forward, resting his arms on his thighs. "I started questioning the system. Everything and everyone."

I hummed, giving him a signal to continue.

"Do you know what the problem is in this system, y/n?"

"What is the problem?"

"Monkeys."

"The non-sorcerers? Suguru? We've already talked about this a decade ago. I thought I had convinced you not to follow that path. It's foolish."

"If they'd be eradicated, there wouldn't be any curses. Therefore no deaths. No unnecessary killings." He ignored me, staring down at the ground.

"So you want to commit mass genocide?" I asked, waiting for his answer. "And you think I'll help you?"

"Why, yes actually." He said confidently. "You know, I left Jujutsu High, too. After you actually."

"When did you decide to leave?"

"The higher-ups are extremely inconsiderate people who wouldn't even bat an eye over the death of Yu. All they care about is maintaining the status quo, and they don't care who dies in the process. Despite that, they are highly respected in the Jujutsu society." He explained. "Us two... We fell victim to their ignorance."

I leaned my head against the couch, flashbacks arose which I had preferably kept buried down. I dropped my face down on my hands due to the heaviness I suddenly felt. That feeling of drowning down, not hearing anyone or anything anymore. The feeling of a loop, all the days blending, destroyed my sense of time. The four minutes of torment that I suffered every single morning without fail. The..

"To the point I started questioning my values and morals." He continued, making me look up at him. He noticed a veil behind my eyes, screaming to be let out. The feelings banged against the barrier of my eyes, begging to be cried out. "Precisely." He smiled, looking at my eyes. "Stop denying it. Me and you, we're the same." He got up, heading towards the door. "Rather than treating the symptoms of a problem, we should attack the source."

I stared at his back as he left, his long hair dangling after him. He looked back before leaving through the door. "You know where to find me."

My train of thought broke when I entered HQ, not expecting the whole gang to be there. I gasped, clapping my hands in excitement. "Great, you're all here!" I said lightly, taking everyone's expressions in. Masamichi Yaga, principal of the campus in Tokyo. Yoshinobu Gakuganji, the principal of the sister school in Kyoto. Utahime Lori, a teacher at Kyoto. Kento Nanami, one of our sorcerers, and Mei Mei. Upon seeing Gakuganji, adrenaline coursed through my blood.

Gakuganji spat his tea out when he saw me giddily enter the room as if I never left. Seeing his reaction to my appearance, I skipped over to him. "Gakuganjiiiii!" I sang, bowing down to his eye level. "Thought you'd have for sure perished by now." I smiled. I heard Satoru snicker behind me, trying his best to hold his laughter in.

"Y/n." Yaga said like he used to back when I was a 1st year. Yaga was always the one responsible for reigning over Gojo and me whenever we pulled one of our stunts like publically taunting Principal Gakuganji.

"Hey teach. Fancy seeing you rise above the ranks. Is the pay at least better?" I got up, away from Gakuganji before he'd put me on fire. I put the glove on I took off earlier, as a sign of goodwill to the folks there.

"Not in this economy." Yaga said, sighing. "I'm sure you understand we have questions."

"Rightfully so." I nodded my head at him. "Frankly, it's no one's business though." I stated.

"Why are you back, then?" Gakuganji interjected.

"I want back in." I stated simply.

"No. Why would we all of a sudden allow you in after you abandoned your duties and left without notice?" Yaga stated, being reasonable enough.

"Damn, didn't know I had to put in my 2 weeks of notice." I muttered.

"We don't know what you were up to the last decade or who you work with now. Why should we trust you? Especially with your clan." Gakuganji stated.

"A little bird told me you summoned Sukuna." Mei Mei smirked at me. Her braid fell over her head.

"I didn't even know he was back from his sleep till 10 minutes ago." I cleared, defending myself. "But to me, it looks like Sukuna has taken a liking to me." I cocked my head towards Gojo. "Don't you think?" I asked.

"That is true. If y/n is a way to lure him out, we could easily take Sukuna out when the time is right." He vouched for me. "And after all, she's just back. Why would we turn her away? It's not like she's a useless case."

I raised my eyebrow at his statement, scoffing.

"That is true." Yaga continued. "And it's not like we have enough folk. We could use extra strength.

"So it's decided. Gojo got up from the chair. "Y/n is joining the faculty."
