The Nanny

Chapter 2

   As I was making supper the phone rings and I rush to get it.

“Hello?” I ask

“Oh Yes is this Miss Eliot, the Nanny?” A lady’s voice says softly.

“Yes, how can I help?”

“Well” she starts “My son needs someone to watch him at all times, he’s very curious and gets into trouble a lot and both me and my Fiancé both are working, we pay very well around a thousand sound good?”

“A thousand a year?”

“ Oh no, a month.”

I almost dropped the phone “A m-month wow, yes I’ll take the job where about do you live?”

“Los Angeles ok?”

“Um yes I think so, when do you want me and how long?”

“ As soon as possible and maybe around a year?”

“Ok that will be fine whats your address?”

“1520 Watersouth Rd”

“Ok I’ll see you on Monday then”

“Ok thanks miss Eliot”

Oh My Gosh Oh My Gosh , I had to get the girls ready to move.

After I told the girls and started packing up the apartment I contacted my landlord and we set on our way to Los Angeles.

Once we came into the city I started looking for the house “ 1520 Watersouth Rd... Ah here it is.” I said pulling in to the drive way to see this enormous mansion.

“Oh My Gosh, is that where we’re gonna live now?” Abigail says beside me

“Yes this is now home to us, now I want you two to behave here this people are obviously rich and proper so try to be polite.”

We grabbed our bags out of the car and started for the door, I knocked on the door and a woman with blonde hair that was very skinny opened the door

“Miss Eliot?” she asked I smiled “Yes so glad to meet you Miss...?”

“Miss James, and who are these fine looking young ladies?” she asked smiling at Abigail and Christine.

“Oh these are my daughters Christine and Abigail, I hope its ok for them to be here too?”

“Oh yes yes more the merrier please come in...” she said gesturing towards the inside. Once we were all in she said “ My Fiancé  won’t be home for awhile he’s working on his new movie...”

“Oh what movie is he going to be in?” Christine asked

“Oh some new action movie that I really don’t care about, now I’ll give you a tour of the house..”

We finally reached our rooms and settled in , then Miss James came in with her son “ This is Max, he’s a handful so I’m gonna pray for you, oh I have to go I have a photo shoot in 10mins bye” she said rushing out the door.

I crouched down beside Max “Hi Max I’m Lilly , I’ll be your new Nanny”

“Ok, you wanna play a game?”

“Oh sure what game?”

“Wanna play trucks with me? I have lots to chose from I even have a pink car me and dad bought especially for you”

“Oh that would be fun, then maybe after we could bake cookies.”

“Yeah”

So I followed him to his room and we played trucks for hours until Max Almost fell asleep beside me. “You wanna go to bed buddy?” he yawned and crawled into bed, I tucked him in and slowly and quietly sneaked out of his room never taking my eyes off him just incase he woke up, as I shut the door I walked backwards a little and bumped into somebody, startled I turned around and saw a man staring back at me

 “Oh I’m so sorry Mr.?”

“Mr. Johnson, and you must be the new nanny”

“Yes, I just put Max to bed”

“Oh thank you Miss?”

“Eliot...”

“Miss Eliot hmm I dated a girl in high school with the same last name.”

“That’s weird I dated a guy in high school with the same last name as you too.”

“Well good night Miss Eliot”

“You too.” I walked into my new bedroom, closed the door and started picking out my brain to where I’ve seen that man before, like what movie, maybe it was some horror movie that I hated watching. Well anyways I better get to bed.
